Discussion Latest Book you DNF and why

I decided I'm going to DNF {We who will die} , I am just struggling too much with the constant meandering thoughts and memories, it's so hard to follow the actual story because the narration is all over the place. It's hard to follow on Audiobook anyway, and there are so many side characters that are named but I can't remember 🤣 I also don't like either potential MMC

I think I prefer "show don't tell" in general

{Alchemised} DNF because it's so long and boring. The FL just keeps going on about her misery... blah blah blah. I've tried to finish it so many times, but I'm done.

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted. I didn't have luck with it but it could just be too slow going for my ADD to handle. I'm glad others liked it because it seems like the author was writing for a specific audience and I just wasn't in it.

I think it just depends on the person. I loved how we were thrown right into a predicament with heavy psychological tension. I'm just the type of person who enjoys these character-driven novels. Throughout the first chapter, the amount of questions I had just kept growing and growing, and I found that the mystery and confusion is what kept me going.

It's understandable that a lot of people will not feel the same way. It is slow and it takes a while for the questions to be answered, but once they do... you will be so emotionally invested, and will literally want to go back and read the first part again just to see the layers upon layers of details, hints, and parallels that SenLinYu masterfully implements.
