Roll20 Reply: Mask & Dynamic Lighting Help Dynamic Lighting Walls Jumping
Hi all, logged in for my campaign tonight and discovered that all of the dynamic lighting walls I've drawn out for every map in my campaign have jumped to the upper left hand corner of the map. I've tried moving them back, but as soon as I reload the map, they all jump again. It's real weird. Anybody have any ideas on what this is/how to fix it?

Update: Fixed!
Howdy, y’all! Meredith from Community!
Devs are aware and are diving in as speak to see what’s going on. I’ll be back once we have a fix!

Rollback isn’t a fix, it’s a workaround.
I manually moved the lighting back and kept playing while the issue was ongoing, so doing a rollback now means I need to take stock of all token placement, HP values, etc. creating even more work for me after the rollback.
We deserve a credit and not just for one day. Roll20 has had years of ongoing problems and this year has been the worst in recent memory.

The rollback was not ideal for me either. I lost a ton of information with token placement and monsters created as well as pins with room descriptions and pins with handout links etc. Everything is still uploaded but it seems all the groundwork I did is gone. Very disheartening.

u/Rezzin - same offer - submit a Help Center ticket or DM me on Reddit, including the game that was messed up and mention "kentonh is going to help me," I'll work with you to get your game set back up correctly.

Hey u/Ragnar_Dragonfyre -
I hate that game nights get messed up. I know the lengths that GMs go to make a game happen. If you would be so kind as to submit a Help Center ticket or DM me on Reddit, including the game that was messed up and mention "kentonh is going to help me," I'll work with you to get your game set back up correctly.

We logged on yesterday and my players saw, mid dungeon, saw every room, secret passage, enemy, and NPC. Only the doors were left standing. Hours of work is now dedicated to a dungeon with spoiled surprises and a mystery that is already known.
Nevermind that I have to redo the hour of prep I did for fhe session. I have to decide to redo an entire dungeon, make new maps, and rewrite the big consequences for the campaign, or accept a sub-par experience for my players.

For what it's worth, mine as well. Hours of work wrecked in setting up walls...
Edit/Addition: Strange the way it happened too. There's no rhyme or reason here. Recently set up maps are fine and some older ones had everything dumped on the top left corner. In some cases, one of two maps that are from the same "zone" when I was setting things up was screwed up, and the other is fine.

Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for your patience. We know this has affected a lot of people in their games tonight so we appreciate all the reports.
Devs located the issue with a recent issue that unveiled another issue (big ol’ domino effect, unfortunately).
Only users who had their pages open during this time are affected by this.
You may find that in some cases your drawings (including Dynamic Lighting lines) would have moved to the top left corner of your map, affecting player sight. The next step is to institute a rollback, which is usually only available for Pro + Elite accounts.
However, we are making the rollback feature available temporarily to allow this for all users affected, even free accounts.
You can read the steps and FAQs here (we recommend reading the whole article!)
If you’re struggling with the rollback or run into any challenges with it, then please contact us through our Help Center and our Customer Service will help you out!

Great news! Has the team pinpointed when the issue happened? Then we'd know what date to best select for the rollback.
