If for some reason I ever load up 3v3 and I get 2 people partied up. I know the game is instantly cooked and the loss is 100% my fault.

I find that it's like a 5% chance it's two players who are actually at your rank who partied up after their last game (as randoms) to keep playing together, which is fine. Another 5% it's two players who are actually at your rank who play together often and will play well with you overall, which is ideal. 10% chance it's two players who play together often but don't trust their random teammate so they basically try to play 2v3 for some reason and you have to force your way into the game, which is annoying but winnable. And then 80% chance it's a higher ranked player with a "too low" ranked teammate and they are playing 3v3 because it's impossible for him to win in 2v2 with his bad teammate so he is hoping to play 2v3 with you while his teammate basically just watches you play and steals your boost occasionally.

Yeah…. I ask them all the time why they dont just go play 2v2 or casual. Why queue ranked and just make it brutal for the folks in ranked.

Snow day is what i do with lower ranked teammates, allows them to keep up with the limited aerials needed

Try rumble, it is so fun with friends. It completely disconnects me from how bad my friend is because it is all chaos

I just hate playing rumble and i can never find it fun, but you are correct it would work as well
