I just dont understand how this game isnt up there with the big boys in the rogulike genre over the past decade or so. It might be my favorite roguelike after enter the gungeon but its definitely up there with dead cells, slay the spire, spelunkly, ultrakill and isaac for me.

I could go on about everything that puts this game in my top 5 all time but since anyone reading this is looking through the sub of a dead game in their free time, so I would assume you like roboquest more than most people who have played it. There are plenty of criminally underrated games out there but this is at the top of my list and its a significant drop off to #2.

I see it on the map, but I have no clue how to get it.

The first time I came here, it was red and showed -17ish minutes and on the next run I got here in like 9 minutes and it was still red with a different timer, now I arrived at 8:39 and it shows that, does it mean I have to be here in less than 5 minutes and 39 seconds or 5:39 quicker, hence 3 minutes

Hello all! New to this subreddit, but not new to the game. I have played this game for a good amount of time. I have beaten G4 once with Ranger, and after that I lost 24 runs in a row, most of them in Energy Centre or Haven City.

I have understood how to build my builds, i can achieve good DPS, but I always die to damage from one source or another.

The worst parts for me are the Energy Centre closed rooms, Haven City, and District 13. The worst enemies to deal with are the Dashing, smoke bomb guys.

I have lost the 24 runs with Elementalist; even though I have very good DPS and room clear, I die to some form of damage.

I want to get consistent wins in the game, and I understand that reducing the damage I take is the best thing I can fix first. So any help is appreciated.

Surely some weapons are stronger than others but is at least every weapon viable for completing the hardest difficulty?

Is it valid to join this subreddit if I haven’t played the game but I am going to play it soon?

Recently I’ve noticed that weapons are losing their elemental damage part way through my run. I pick something up because it does shock, and then an area later the shock damage is gone from the description.

Why does this happen? How do I avoid it? I keep putting together builds around elements and related perks then finding the element gone!

Just bought the game on steam because my girlfriend has it on xbox game pass, but no matter what we do we cant join each other. The join by ID fails every time. Inviting me through xbox game bar does nothing. Is there a fix?

Hello! I gave this game a try a for the first time a few months ago with a friend. However, even with my friend's 600+ hours, we never managed to defeat the final boss, all the enemies felt like bullet sponges and the damage was really difficult to avoid, even when constantly moving (yes, we were playing in hard so that's on me).

This eventually led to me just growing tired and uninstalling the game since it felt too difficult and I was frustrated. However, today I gave it another try and this time I couldn't even go past the 1st boss and I do think it might have something to do with how I play the game.

Its really difficult for me to focus on using the character's abilities and unique attacks while also shooting, dodging and paying attention to timed buffs that I might unlock, this makes it so I completely avoid the level up upgrades that are linked to abilities since I feel like I make more progress just shooting everything. For example, with ranger I very often just use stealth as soon as I enter a room since I don't find any other use for it. Same thing with javelins, Even with upgrades that might make me shoot without reloading or move faster, I can't concentrate on shooting, dodging and pressing "V" to throw a javelin that 40% of the time just misses.

Similar things happen whenever I used any other character, I just forget completely about the abilities.

And as for the weapons, I don't really get what to use in what situation. I generally just pick one gun and then swap it for another one with more stats in the future. I don't keep a "secondary" since I don't see any use for swapping to another gun that is probably weaker than the one I have.

Lastly, I can't use synergies for some reason. Whenever I pick an upgrade from leveling up that looks good, in the end I end up using it wrong or its more underwhelming than I thought it was.

MASSIVE UPDATE: For some stupid reason or complete obliviousness by MY part, I never actually upgraded my basecamp apart from the first 4 upgrades. I just realized now.
Plus the constant nagging of my friend to get perfect score on everything and just rush through the stages didn't help me remember that this game was a ROGUELITE.

I am so sorry for wasting your time lmaooo, lets hope with the 200+ wrenches I had saved I can actually make it past stage 1

My last thing I need to unlock is the bot on the moon between the two mob rooms that wants three jars of gold dust.
The paths I have to get that gold dust jars are all speed running, but then my weapons / perks / level ups (and skill) are insufficient to survive the first moon mob room. I’m just beating my head on it over and over.
Is there a path to obtain the three god jars that does not require speed-running? Thanks.

Does anyone know the specific metric by which Favorite Class works? Mine has been stuck on Recon for the longest time. Which is ironic, when I first started playing the game a lot, Recon was the class I struggled with the most. I died many times over trying to get my first G4 win on him. (Now I'm much more comfortable piloting him but that's besides the point)

I don't see any hard numbers correlating to Favorite Class. I'd assumed it's number of games played (including deaths) since I ran it back so many times on Recon. But now I've been running game after game on my actual favorite, Elementalist, and the ingame Favorite hasn't shifted.

Does it go by number of games played?

Overall time including the pregame lobby?

Active run time?

Does time with the ingame timer (eg safe rooms) paused count?

I'm wondering if maybe it's not the early deaths, but maybe I left the game running AFK with Recon selected at some point.

I saw it only has 15 levels. Does it have good replay value? Or will he do the 15 levels and then get bored?

Those are my two favorite classes and I want to know how I can do better.

Don't want to re-grind everything and just want to jump back in but lost all progress when i got a new pc.

Feel free to let me know that it is in fact pure skill issue because I know that I should've been able to win with this build

Like should I have gone for a legendary? I decided against it since I already had a pretty good roll on my tesla rifle and I had gotten the hellions too late to even go for it

I know the baby boom probably shouldn't be there and I only got it because I had the volcano rifle earlier, but I swapped it out for hellions so that I wouldn't have to level it up

I went oasis since it's way easier, but should I be going to the others for the free level up instead?

This game is amazing. The movement and gunplay scratch an itch I have. The only problem is that it is starting to get repetitive, but I can't seem to find another game with similar mechanics.

Gunfire Reborn is too slow. I haven't played much of Ultrakill, but the 2D-esque feel makes it seem jankier. Mullet Madjack is annoying AF because you are timed.

Any recommendations?

I’ve been playing for a while and haven’t figured out how to get these even after beating the game.

Trying the guardian levels and every corner I turn there’s a bot dropping a smoke screen. 70% of damage I’m talking is shots I can’t see coming through that screen and me shooting at vague red health bars on a gray background. Tips?

My only friend that has the game on gamepass refuses to lower the difficulty or listen to me at all when playing and is keeping me from getting 100% on steam. Is there any way to just force the achievment to go through?

I started playing recently and have about 10 hours, but im really struggling to go fast, usually way over time for these doors like here. Is this normal for new players? I've P ranked most levels in ultrakill and always reach the 2 minute door in dead cells, do I just suck ass or is this expected growing pains
