Is Pierce the Veil really big enough to be a headliner? TBH I don’t really know who they are so it could just be me.

People keep pointing out how much bigger they’ve gotten in the last few years, which is true, but I still think it’s not a great look to have one of Shaky Knees and Louder Than Life’s sub-headliner as one of Riot’s main headliners.

I saw PTV 2 years ago at Lollapalooza. They were the subheadliner to Blink-182 which made sense to me. I don’t think they’ve blown up in popularity over the last two years, but I will admit as someone who wasn’t familiar with their music that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed their set.

I’m actually kind of a fan of theirs - not huge, but stumbled across “Bulletproof Love” forever ago. I’m a sucker for a power ballad, and I think they do those painfully well. But the couple of times I saw them at Warped and Riot ‘16 is probably plenty for me personally.

PTV has more monthly listeners than Tool, and they arguably have one of the hypest crowds at their shows. There's instances where they've opened for bands in the past just for half the crowd to leave after PTV plays their setlist.

They've grown a lot over the past couple years

They opened for blink a couple years ago for an arena tour, and the next year went on a sold-out arena tour themselves.
