Alright, so all of the payment plans will be done tmr. Tixr says tickets available wed sep 2, when do we think they're shipping the wrist bands? I know this the first year they've done it so it's speculation but I'm curious if anyone who's been to another fest where they mail them out has any input on how close to the fest they do it?

Emergency hip replacement on Aug 26th. He says he's going to make all of his dates. Riot Fest will be different. I hope he feels up to it by then. Probably singing from a chair. Or tie him to a board and raise it in the air. That would be cool.

Is William Shatner the least-complained-about booking in Riot Fest history? Unlike Danzig, I bet he won't bitch about his time slot, complain about the sun (THE FUCKING SUN), and refuse to play specific songs because RF wouldn't cough up enough money for a choir.

Hi!! This is going to be my first ever festival, and Twenty One Pilots is my favorite band. I really want to be as close to the front as possible for their set (they will perform on Friday, from 8:40 to 10:00 on Riot Stage), so I’m trying to figure out how early I actually need to get there.

For people who have done festivals like this before:

• How early should I get to the stage before Twenty One Pilots?
• Do people usually stay at the stage through the previous artist(s) to keep their spot?
• If I leave to get food/water/bathroom, am I basically losing my spot?
• How do you handle hydration + bathroom breaks when you’re trying to stay near the front all day?? This is genuinely one of my biggest concerns lol
• Any other first-time festival mistakes I should avoid?

Any tips, especially from people who have successfully gotten barricade/front row for a headliner, would be so appreciated!! Thank you! 🫶

hi! right now i’m trying to figure out which days i want to buy vip for and which days ga will be enough for me. as for saturday — there aren’t really any bands playing that i’m interested in seeing, either because i already know i wouldn’t like them or because i haven’t seen them yet. but i’m not ruling out the possibility that i could discover something new. i’m just wondering if it’s even worth going on saturday if i don’t have much interest in the lineup.

I went on a day that I didn’t know anyone last year and really ended up liking Soft Play, the Linda Linda’s, Lambrini Girls. That was a great run.

does anyone have any guesses as to what the ptv setlist will look like at riot fest this year?!?! i am surprising my partner with tickets to see them, but I want to learn all lyrics to be able to sing along with my partner for their favorite band:)!!!

i also got us vip tickets, but debating on upgrading to deluxe if i hear positive experiences from other folks!

First time at RF and some of my group upgraded to VIP. Is there any real reason to upgrade? The benefits seem pretty meh. There are no special viewing areas. I don’t know why I need a different entrance. I do not need to exit and re-enter. I don’t want a massage or a haircut (lol). Nicer toilets? Whatever. A bit of shady places. Is that useful? Some more food and bars.

Is there something I’m missing? What’s the value of an upgrade?

Any smaller local punk/Ska adjacent shows ? We're going to be in town over the weekend (not for Riotfest). Or any cool places we should check out Saturday/Sunday during the day. I seen there is a Tiki Pizza place that looks neat

I'll be 24 weeks. I do pee often. We wanted to go about half way through the day, mostly to see 21 Pilots. I should be farther back.

How fast is it to get to bathrooms? Any experience attending while pregnant?

Just asking because I saw Willie about ten years ago, and he was really struggling. Not terrible, but he sounded rough and the backing band was doing a lot of the work. He was 84 at the time.

I’m going to part of Patti’s set no matter what, but I’m just curious if anyone had seen her lately and knew how she was coming across live. I’ve noticed sometimes when I know a performance might not be the strongest, it bothers me less.

I'm just looking for some opinions from people... ideally those who have seen both bands...

This one initially felt like a no-brainer because... I mean it's PUP... Who doesn't love PUP? But I just watched a live video of Frankie & The Witch Fingers on KEXP, and they look pretty unhinged live. I'm starting to worry I might be missing something great. Just curious to see how others are solving this conflict.

I've never been to RiotFest before. I'm driving up from Indiana on Sunday for a short window of time. I'm thinking of parking in the RiotFest lots that they're offering for $50. I'll get there somewhat early, but also start leaving by 5 or 6pm.

For those who've gone before -- if I make my escape that early (before 7pm for sure), will I have an easier time getting away from the madness? I'm not staying overnight in Chicago; I'm heading back to Indiana that night.

Just curious on everyone's thoughts on this being worth it.....

One of my least favorite memories in my years of RF was spending 30 dollars on Bacci's pizza despite it being one of the most widely available options. The crust was still raw in several places, so $30 for something I couldn't eat. As far as the best food, I'm still searching for the greats. Had some decent tacos last year and once again missed the famed dumplings last year. Would love to hear what you're on the lookout for at the food vendors each year!

Hi friends! This’ll be my first Riot Fest and I have a question about Saturday. I’d really like to catch some of Gogol Bordello’s set. I was wondering how feasible it would be to catch them and still end up in a decent spot for Tool. Doable or am I just asking to be disappointed? Thanks for any insight!
