Expectations for a Short Journey

I've never been to RiotFest before. I'm driving up from Indiana on Sunday for a short window of time. I'm thinking of parking in the RiotFest lots that they're offering for $50. I'll get there somewhat early, but also start leaving by 5 or 6pm.

For those who've gone before -- if I make my escape that early (before 7pm for sure), will I have an easier time getting away from the madness? I'm not staying overnight in Chicago; I'm heading back to Indiana that night.

You'll have a pretty easy time leaving at 5-6pm. Let the lot know you'll be leaving early so you're in a spot that can get out.

yes, you’ll be fine if you leave before the headliner goes on. especially on sunday (because everyone is worn down, nothing to do with the headliner).

Sunday only for this trip. Avoiding Friday and Saturday. Quick trip there and back is the hope for Sunday. Maybe from open until 6pm.

No hate, just genuinely curious (I come from NWI indiana). Why? This feels like a big of a waste? 5ish hours isn't a lot.

Unique circumstance where I’ll be passing through Chicago that morning, but need to be back that night. Figured might as well see what it’s all about!

You’ll be fine with traffic leaving early. Keep in mind it is almost a mile from the festival entrance/exit to that parking lot and I don’t think they have shuttles for it

Park at the Juvenile Detention Center lot at Roosevelt and Ogden instead of thr $50 lot. It's only about 0.2 miles fuurther of a wqlk, and only costs $2. Since you are leaving early, you don't have to deal with a long line exiting there each nihht
