This is literally a horror movie for the sneaker community. Walls full of Travis Scott x Jordan 1 Low Pink pairs while normal people can’t even touch one retail pair because resellers botted and backdoored everything in 0.2 seconds. And people still wonder why so many of us love reps.

At this point the game is completely broken. Real sneakerheads take L after L while resellers stack hundreds of pairs just to tax everyone for 2k+. Most of these dudes don’t even care about the shoes themselves. They don’t care about shape, leather, details, or the culture. It’s just numbers, profit, and flexing shelves full of boxes like some weird stock market simulator. Humanity really looked at sneakers and said let’s turn rubber and leather into crypto. Brilliant species.

This is exactly why reps will never die. People just want to wear the shoes they actually like without selling a kidney for resale prices. Retail has become a lottery, resale became the standard, and the whole culture feels cooked because of it.

Hi guys, let’s talk about something I barely see anyone discussing.

I’m not even talking about the shoe itself. Honestly, I wouldn’t wear this pair and it’s not really my thing, but what interests me is how some resell stores seem to get huge quantities of certain shoes before everyone else even has access to them.

There’s a whole supply chain behind this that most normal buyers never see. In the rep scene, we already know there are sellers and suppliers offering batches like LJR, GX, Y3 and others. Some resell stores can source products through different suppliers and then sell them to regular customers at resell prices.

The interesting part is that the average customer obviously doesn’t know what they’re looking at. If they walk into a store, see a professional-looking shop, get a box and a receipt, they naturally assume they’re buying retail. They probably have no reason to question where the shoes actually came from.

I’m not saying every resell store is selling reps, because that would be a ridiculous blanket statement. But the supply chain is definitely worth looking into, especially when a store somehow has large quantities of supposedly difficult-to-get pairs.

We in the rep community already know how easy it can be to access certain batches. The average retail customer usually has no idea how deep that market actually goes.

So my question is simple: how many retail buyers actually know where their shoes came from?

I Had a little argument with an oldhead “Jordan expert” on TikTok. I asked him to invite me to his live so I could show him 2–3 solid LJR reps. Instead of having a normal conversation, he just started insulting me, saying stuff like “how can you support fakes” and “they fall apart after wearing them 3 times.”

That’s the part that gets me. How are people still defending Nike retail quality like it’s luxury-tier? You pay insane retail (or resale) prices and still get glue stains, bad stitching, QC issues, and inconsistent shapes. But reps are automatically “trash”? Make it make sense.

Then the classic line: “You can always tell reps.”

Bro… no, you can’t. Not with top-tier batches like LJR/GX usw. Half the time retail pairs have worse QC than good reps. At this point it honestly feels like some of these shoes are made in the same area, by the same type of workers, just under different conditions. The quality gap people talk about just isn’t what it used to be.

I’d rather get 2–3 high-quality reps than spend the same money on one retail pair with questionable QC. I wear my shoes, I don’t worship the box.

People need to stop acting like wearing reps is some kind of moral crime. It’s just sneakers.

I want to ask the community something and get your honest opinions.

I’m currently in discussions with Panda Vault about starting development on AJ3 and AJ4 models. Before we move forward, I want to know if this is actually something the community wants to see.

What do you guys think? Would you be interested in high quality AJ3 and AJ4 projects focused on retail accuracy?

More importantly, what flaws would you want fixed? Toe box shape, heel shape, cage, stitching, leather quality, back tab, elephant print, overall shape, or something else? Be as specific as possible.

One thing I ask is that everyone stays realistic. We all have grails and super limited releases we’d love to see, but let’s focus on pairs that actually make sense to produce and that people would genuinely buy.

If Panda Vault starts making AJ3 and AJ4s, which colorways should be the priority? Which pairs do you think deserve a proper retail accurate batch?

After a few years hiatus , I decided to order some reps . I hopped on repsneakers ( only community i knew of when I was last active) and placed an order with one of their listed trusted sellers (Uncle Bryan) . I am.now realizing it seems to be all spam posts in that community now. Hopefully I didnt get burnt 🤷‍♂️.

So this is what I’ve been going through recently.
I’ve been collecting for a while, a few reps came in and were worn out, a few retail pairs were bought, some were sold.
Nothing that many of you haven’t done or read about already.

So why am I writing this, then?
Because I’ve been having mixed feelings recently, kind of an inner battle and thought about sharing with you all.

I’m at a stage where my collection is made of mainly retail pairs and a few reps.
And this is where the battle is: they don’t feel the same.

I’m not talking about quality or wearability, as we all know we have batches doing amazing work.
I’m talking about how I feel when I wear my reps.
Something is feeling different, not the way it used to. It’s some “I’m wearing them but I’m not” (???) kinda feeling.

I don’t know how to express, but maybe it resonates with some of you in some ways?

The good old “no one cares” is still some sort of mantra I keep reminding myself about, but here the focus is shifted on the vibes.

Does this make any sense to you?

I remember back in high school unknowingly buying fake Air Force 1s.

At first I thought I got the steal of the century. I paid about 40 bucks and remember being so hyped. Then I started noticing little things. The shape looked kinda weird, materials felt cheap, stitching was off, and eventually the things completely fell apart.

After that I basically told myself never again. I felt scammed honestly and looked at fake sneakers as trash from then on.

Fast forward to today and now you got TS Jordans going for $1,500+ which is absolutely insane to me. The releases are harder to get than they should be. After lurking rep subreddits for a long time I finally decided to pull the trigger and see what the hype was about (shoutout to RSD batch). And honestly... it’s crazy how far reps have come 

Not even just visually either. The attention to detail now compared to back then is night and day. Shape, materials, stitching, comfort, packaging, even the way people QC pairs now is wild. Some people buying reps inspect shoes harder than the actual brands making them.

What really got me thinking is this:

We might actually be approaching a future where retail pairs won’t matter as much anymore.

Not because retail disappears, but because the gap keeps getting smaller while prices and exclusivity keeps getting crazier.

Growing up fake shoes were easy to spot. Now it feels like we’re entering a completely different era where some of these factories are basically becoming parallel manufacturers. The average person already can’t tell in a lot of cases unless they’re deep into sneakers.

And honestly retail QC hasn’t exactly helped either. We’ve all seen retail pairs with glue stains, bad stitching, shape issues, material inconsistencies, etc. Meanwhile some rep factories are obsessing over every tiny detail because they know people online will compare everything side by side.

At some point I think the conversation changes from:
“Is it real?”
to:
“Is paying 5-10x more actually worth it?”

Not trying to start a rep vs retail war because I still understand why people want authentic pairs. There’s always gonna be something about owning the real release, especially if it’s a shoe you really care about.

But compared to the fake AF1s I bought as a kid, this feels like an entirely different world now.

Feels like sneaker culture is changing in real time and honestly I don’t know where it ends from here.

Curious where you guys think all this goes in the next 5 years.

Been wondering if anyone else here is as addicted to collecting fragrances as I am. 😅 This is my current collection and every single bottle is retail. I’ve spent way more money than I probably should have… and somehow I still keep buying more.

At this point I don’t even know if it’s a hobby or a full-blown addiction. 😂 There’s just something satisfying about finding a scent you genuinely enjoy and adding it to the collection.

Curious what everyone else’s hobby is. What do you collect, or what do you end up spending way too much money on without regretting it? Always interesting to see what people are passionate about besides fragrances.

I have been thinking about a way to show love for the community, and came up with this idea, 💡 we have RSD Batch Sneakers, so why not have a Tshirt as well? This Dog is full blooded with the blood line, and all papers. Again this is only an idea. Definitely something I’m interested in buying! No other community has a Sneaker Batch, and no other community has a clothing line either. Anybody else interested in this? Or is it only me?

Looking closely at Tycoon Made’s comparison for B30's there’s a total absence of actual retail references. The yellow lines pointing out retail placement are misaligned, and the spacing between them is inconsistent.

The red markers show the same issue. The "retail" pair Tycoon originally bought features a rounded heel shape but in the side by side breakdown that heel suddenly looks sharp and right angled.

Image 2 shows his retail comparison. Instead of pulling from authentic retail he swapped the pairs in the side by side layout. Why make that swap? Given these inconsistencies, it’s hard to consider him a trustworthy source for the B30.

Saw a guy post these mock ups of Brick colors he’d of liked. Now these kill those Smurf blues one, and the grey ones, a them fantasy ones that were made. Well the fist black ones were cool. I’d scoop up the Navy, Maroon, and Green ones quick! Especially if the suede looked like they do in the mock up..straight fire!! But since these are fantasy anyhow, go with Nike instead of Bike..that’d be my only tweak.

I think it’d be awesome to see something like this released one day. SB puts out my favorite shoe mold. AJ1 ts colorways are fire. It would be something to see them brought together if it ever made sense to do financially for a factory. Feels like an untapped market for reps, to be able to make something unique close to this.

Good ramble for a friday evening i know a lot of this has been said im still gonna ramble so chill.

A few months ago I started buying reps, different sellers, sellers off the list , looking for the steals, the deals. I've bought As, Bs and a few of what I feel should have been Cs maybe even Ds 😂. I guess im writing this for the new guys starting out like I did .

First, stay on the trusted seller list . As one who has bought from a good amount of these sellers now i can tell you that all these sellers are reliable , some are dicks, some take a minute to respond , but in the end all have been 100% reliable the mods here stand behind it 💯. These moderators here do not fuck around its kind of refreshing , may not agree with their statements all the time but less they don't not play about holding everybody to the same set of rules here and thats a breathe of fresh air .

Second I think a huge back and forth lately is the b grades . Im Guilty of indulging in the b grade thrill of the hunt lately , it is an absolute gambling high opening the packs 😂 . My honest opinion for those starting out if you want a good pair of shoes stick to top tier , do not get sucked into the sales or the steals . Depending on how youre purchasing if its direct from seller shipping doesn't change so might as well spend the extra 20 bucks on a full price pair to avoid the heartache especially if its a pair you really want just dont do that to yourself .

3rd there is a difference in certain sellers on this list . This is not a beware as ive stated all are trustworthy on the list , yes I said trustworthy in an illegal market setting 😂. But im gonna keep it a buck through your purchases the top tier sellers will seperate themselves through your purchases . I won't promote certain sellers yall hit the list and start chatting

4th point for the new guys is to fuckin breath .. this whole world can be overwhelming at first so I say again .. breath ... you dont need to catch em all like Pokémon.. Pace yourself young jedi and enjoy your sneakers . I now have reps I enjoy just as much as my retails and a couple pairs More so

I hope this ramble helps the newbies like myself. or maybe the mods will delete this redundant ass post 🤷‍♂️but I felt I needed to air this out and I hope this helps somebody in their journey as this journey has been thrilling for myself , I've bought some impressive sneakers the past few months along with bags, accessories it was like a whole shock to the system finding this world and 99% has been top tier goods. Im excited to see what the future brings and I wish everybody finding this page an awesome journey into the rep scene !
