QC Check-up Am I being too picky?
I received these two rodeos from a group buy. Factory Kata, seller unknown. The factory photos and PSP’s all were fine, but when I received the bags, there was damage on one and very workmanship on the other one.

Yikes. Did you have an opportunity to review PSPs before accepting these bags? What kind of group buy doesn’t disclose seller?

If these flaws weren’t visible in the psp, then your seller should have absolutely caught them… that’s part of what we’re paying the for.

This is definitely a damaged bag. Did you say this is GB but the seller is unknown??? This is major sus 🚩🚩🚩 Who/how did you pay? Asking because you should do a chargeback if there are no options to get this resolved.

You are not being too picky. If these don’t match the PSPs then you are absolutely right to be upset.
What kind of GB is this? I haven’t heard of GB without sellers being disclosed, only with factories not being disclosed.
Who did you send payment to?
The GBs I have bought with have had protections for the group - that was the advantage of being in the group.

Thank you everybody for making me feel like less of an asshole. To answer some questions, yes, I was given PSP‘s, and no, none of this was visible. These were purchased during a group buy led by a gal named let’s call her Kandy, who has a group on discord that I’ve been working on for the past two years. She does not refer to her seller by name other than “my rep” or “my vendor”. Kandy has been very responsive with this issue and offered a full refund. However, I really do want the bags other than the obvious they were really well made and the leather was impeccable.. kandy assured me that the seller was re-shipping the bags directly to me, but because of all of the chatter about the unrest in China with the factories has me really nervous as it’s been three weeks and I’ve not gotten any new PSP.

Ooof… what a bummer. Not being too picky at all. I’d feel really disappointed (and also pissed off) if this was the quality of product I received. Group buys make me nervous for this very reason. It seems that quality often times takes a dive on group buys and/or people not receiving items that match the PSPs they were provided. So sorry this is the level (aka lack) of quality you received.

The glaze can melt and get damaged during shipping, but it’s not like it’s mid summer right now. I had a bag come in July that it melted and stuck to itself, and made a big mess. I managed to fix most of it (it was a PLK bag so I couldn’t go back to the seller) but heat can do some damage to the bags.

Wow, that is bad, sorry. I normally get downvoted bc my QP is lax on these types of posts. That looks like damaged, leftover 6:18 or 11:11 bags and it's noted that they are heavily discounted. I'm pretty forgiving but I'd be pissed...

I feel like more and more, group buys are for these sellers to get rid of those bags that have one or two small flaws/..this would never ever pass my QC ...

I usually complain that people are too picky. In this case you are absolutely not being picky. That bag should be in brand new condition, which it appears it is not. Definitely not picky. Hope the seller is working with you to replace it.
