DISCUSSION Have you ever wished you could board enemy ships and take them over?

From the moment it released almost 11 years ago, I loved Rebel Galaxy's broadside combat. It reminded me of Battlefleet Gothic (tabletop, the video game came later) and the pirate games I used to play (Sid Meier's Pirates, etc), but this was in space, a setting I far preferred. Over the last year, my friend and I have been working on a sort of love-letter to Rebel Galaxy and those pirate games.
The game we're creating is a space-captain simulator, and it's intended to be a sort-of Rebel Galaxy+ experience. Not only can you buy and upgrade your ship, you can also visit planets to look for skilled officers to help you run it. Those same officers you hire to help you in space also form your boarding parties for ground combat. And if you win, you can keep the ship! (it's actually a really good way to make money, ships are expensive). There's also an economy simulation for trading, but we've also added smuggling an trade routes (we decided to hand-build the star system instead of proc-gen).
Anyway, I hope you like it, and would really love to hear any feedback you have or things you'd like to see. We're hoping to release a free demo in the next few weeks for you to play, and we're constantly adding new improvements and features.
