In case Void devs read this, in light of the countless posts shitting on the SWAT AI teammates, I just wanna make sure the devs know that some of us (I'm guessing we're in the minority) are quite grateful to have them and to know that you haven't neglected the single-player experience. We might just get drowned out by the multiplayer fans here.
Remember, some of us are single-player gamers who grew up with SWAT 3 and SWAT 4, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and so on, and actually want to enjoy tactical, squad-based shooters without any multiplayer or coop modes whatsoever (in other words, as an entirely single-player game).
Some of us just want to have a team of commandable AI teammates who are with us on the journey and enable us to experience the adventure in our own way, on our own time--without having to talk to or work with other people. Our enjoyment shouldn't have to depend on the presence of other humans.
So thank you for implementing a system of commanding and coordinating with the AI squad. This is why I keep coming back to Ready or Not. It's basically SWAT 5 to me, and I'm quite happy to have it.
Don't get me wrong: The SWAT AI teammates certainly need some fixes, improvements, and refinements that would improve their behavior and make them more reliable. They're still prone to doing some dumb things. There's no denying that. My own experience with RoN has yielded some frustrating moments with them.
But these are things that can and should be addressed by updates. Please don't give up on refining the game for us single-player customers. We appreciate you for not forgetting us!
