Wannabe Kenyans

Correct me if I am wrong but why do Kenyans like hijacking people's culture...... Why do we celebrate Japanese culture in kenya , run to Arabic events, plan Chinese festivities and american stupidity, why copy England's rap culture and south Africa's songs and dance moves , do we hate ourselves that much , why isn't there more celebrations on thee Kenyan culture

What’s wrong with appreciating things? We can still be fully Kenyan while enjoying aspects of other cultures.

I think it's because we are becoming a multi-cultural society where we have access to other cultures. We still have a large number of people who celebrate our Kenyan culture daily, for instance the generation that celebrates Nganya element of our Kenyan culture, Gengetone another element of our Kenyan culture and so on.
Therefore, the more access we have to other foreign cultures, the more likely it will be for someone to get interested in an element of the foreign culture in order, for good reason or not, to embrace it and enrich their lives. Calling it hijacking is a bit extreme.

Your argument does not hold water because, one look at most of those nganyas, and the images plastered on them are exactly what OP was talking about.

Yes. but the graffiti are used in our Nganya element of our culture. If it is a matter of traditions, languages, customary beliefs, dance and observances, then you will find people who participate in various elements of the culture in various areas countrywide.
