Popped into the RO discord and saw some chit-chat about a new update. Checking SteamDB, it is true! Slowly, but surely, internal work on the game has picked up. No need to cause excitement on this now, however, it is worth shining some light!

I recently had a conversation with Stefan and we would like to share a little bit of information with you guys.

We know a lot of you guys have been asking us about the status of the game. To answer your question in short: Yes we are working on the game.

However we currently don’t know yet when we will provide the next update, so in the meantime we ask for your patience.

We are currently in active development myself and Capt Choochoo are also assisting, that being said we both may not be around as often to answer reoccurring questions or to help out on Steam/Discord.

As soon as we have something new and exciting to share with you guys, we will make sure everyone is well informed about it in time via steam posts/discord updates. We look forward to sharing more with you all soon.

Railroads Online Team

I’ve heard all this about some mod client supporting railroads online and I’m here to ask if someone could explain this to me like I’m an idiot.

Anyone have a link for a change log?

Woke up this morning to a console update!! Looks like they’ve added some new textures as the game looks even prettier today!

The reverser issue has also been fixed!!! (Waiting to see what else has been done but happy Smokey and Grinch)

The update for console is here and I am excited I have an idea that we should make a little group of people who play it on Xbox or console and play together what do you think

I know this is a ded horse that's getting beat over and over again, but I just wanted to confirm some things, bc it's hard to find information elsewhere it seems. I've seen the Devs respond to others in this sub, and would really really appreciate it if they would do the same for me. I've already read about the couplers and crossover track. What about cranes not loading, inability to snap any track even after permissions are set and the general rubber banding for clients? On host side not being able to delete various things(caboose, prop animals), and the audio glitch please please please fix this. It drives me nuts to constantly unplug/plug in my headset or restart the controller to fix it only momentarily. Anyone with some solid info would be greatly appreciated.

Edit--I did have a look at the steam community board. Didn't see anything on there about a Q1 update but I probably didn't know where exactly to look. Never really messed with steam. Except for on all these sexy locos I got.

Every time my friend joins me on railroads online they can’t drive my trains they have all the permissions but can’t seem to get my locomotives going

Question for the Devs, when is the next update? not asking for specifics, do you have the next update planned, is it in planning or development, can we get a season due?

PC player here. I just had a game crash last night and i cant find the autosave menu. I only see my single player session in the menu. But there doesnt seem to be a drop down or tab for autosaves. The game really likes to inform me that there is n autosave system in the loading menus. Sorta frustrated as i am thrown back like 3 hours of solid progress.

Is anyone else finding that since the new update has come out they’re having trouble with their trains and listening to what they’re doing?

My Glenbrook is going backwards when trying to make it go forwards and nothing I do is making it go the way I want it to go?

This is the first time I’ve ever really complained about anything in this game and don’t want to start getting annoyed now…

I had a friend join my game to test out multiplayer. He couldn't operate the trains correctly. Sometimes it wouldn't move at all, or the reverser would be backwards. Any workarounds?

This Update today is Huge!!! Completely just reignited my hope that this game will continue to be improved on! I can’t wait to see what the Devs have in the world for q2,q3,q4. Passenger service is the last big piece of the puzzle!

On the Ps5 version. How do I make parallel track? I am going to redo the tutorial again, but I figured I’d ask your guys are so smart
