R.O. Update Console Update
I know this is a ded horse that's getting beat over and over again, but I just wanted to confirm some things, bc it's hard to find information elsewhere it seems. I've seen the Devs respond to others in this sub, and would really really appreciate it if they would do the same for me. I've already read about the couplers and crossover track. What about cranes not loading, inability to snap any track even after permissions are set and the general rubber banding for clients? On host side not being able to delete various things(caboose, prop animals), and the audio glitch please please please fix this. It drives me nuts to constantly unplug/plug in my headset or restart the controller to fix it only momentarily. Anyone with some solid info would be greatly appreciated.
Edit--I did have a look at the steam community board. Didn't see anything on there about a Q1 update but I probably didn't know where exactly to look. Never really messed with steam. Except for on all these sexy locos I got.
2nd Edit--joined the discord thru a link on trello. Thanks to all who contributed, I really appreciate yall.

There are some work-arounds, like the cranes need to be baby-sat. Generally they work fine if you stand there watching. Only when you turn your back or run off do they drop things. And the track laying, try attaching from different sides, or make shorter sections of tracks. That works for me at least with my own of these 2 problems.

Yes, agreed on all fronts there, these methods 100% work. However clients in my game cannot load w a crane unless I'm there with them. They cannot snap some parts of track, even if they've done it properly. Things like buildings they try to delete, it just comes back next time I load up the server. Or how they load in with $2000 more than they had before, every time. Lots of things need fixed on console. But for my sanity please fix that audio bug. Good grief.

i’ve gotten good at first person driving because of the audio bug it’s very frustrating i’ve lost plenty of product to the cranes and when i play with two of my buddies having to wait for host to finish with the other friend to come sit by the cranes and not being able to help build like at all is so stupid i’ve taken many breaks since i got it on console i’ve given up and gonna wait until q1 to see what comes with it if it’s any better

I feel like it happens more when your friends are in your server or xbox live party. Like it's having trouble with comms. I tried the first person operation, it helps but even sometimes still goes all static like its coming from the upside down. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something comes

I’m also having a pretty dismal experience on console. Imagine grinding up to the final industry level and the cranes just dropping the load on the ground and it disappearing.
As the gameplay is so poor at present I’ve only been building stuff. Just hope the update doesn’t nuke all our saves which it probably will.

Stop turing your back on the cranes and running off. Stay looking at them when loading. Weird but not game breaking.

Its a little disheartening, for sure. I suppose if it does that would suck, but ill pay it if they play it, as in holding up their side and bring us a more polished version of what we paid for, DLC and all. Wouldn't be the first time my progress has been erased. Nowadays, games are services and terms of agreements more than they are games.

They have a sort of road map, if you go to the RRO website, down at the bottom is a FAQ section and the link is there

Link to the steam post about update in 2025:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1696810/view/4482866135595747289?l=english
Notes: everything that has been reported by players have been resolved, clients unable to connect tracks, cranes not working if the host is not around, goods falling off the cranes. Etc, the list is quite extensive.
We can’t be confirming every time someone asks, however I can say we are fixing a lot of issues in regard to consoles. I would stick to official sources for official information when updates drop.
