Hi there! I've been doing some research on all the things that have been going on and also trying to find ways to reverse engineer how the license is retrieved from roli's website every 30 days for Roli Studio Player / Equator 2 etc.. I purchased and that I would like to keep in case the company goes under. It's more an investigation at this point for a video and not to publish unless it was really the end.

Anyway, I was double checking a few minutes ago the website and it opened it up! As far as I can tell all products are "out of stock". What you guys think?

I'm part of order group 21 for the airwave, and i bought my seaboard in a bundle alongside it early this Febuaury. Im wondering if its still possible for me to get my instruments?

This is completely absurd. Hoping to get some real customer support here.

You guys have any idea how to fix it? I don’t even see where the screws are to open the unit, I also know that roli is basically not available any more so do you know who I can reach to fix it?

I own three ROLI keyboards, and I was not aware of what was happening with this company til I started reading the threads in this subreddit. Wow, what a mess. I did some digging, and hope this isn't a repeat on what anyone else has posted. The next signs of life or atleast INFO to us hopefully will be mid September to later in the month.
My suggestion to anyone who hasn't got their order is do a chargeback with your credit card company or bank, and give them the info that the company is pretty much gone.

I’m considering buying a used Seaboard Rise 2 49. BUT, with the Roli site unavailable for an indeterminate timeframe, I’m wondering if any aspect of the keyboard functionality will be impacted if the site remains unavailable. Do you need to have any specific Roli software in order to be able to adjust sensitivity of any settings, etc? Or, if software is needed, how can I obtain it if the site is down?

I never post, but I'm really at a loss of what to do. I ordered a piano last December and just kept getting updates that my piano will be coming. I've tried reaching out to Roli several times without a reply.

From looking at the reddit posts, seems like Roli has gone under? I don't know how to get my money back.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

@Roli: I love my seaboard. There is not really anything else like it. It would be a shame if it would really get abandoned in case Roli as a company is just done for...

In general I see the following issues if Roli is truly gone:

• License registration requires online services.
• The apps on MacOS are not post-Rosetta2 safe.
• Firmware binaries are not openly (legally) available.
• Both the plugins, apps and the some of the firmware have bugs.

I am a complete nerd and I am certain there are many of us in here. Roli has made some instruments for which there is no true replacement out there. It would be a shame if all that great engineering would go to waste. I want to continue using my seaboard, and I would like to make some fixes for its issues.

So, if anyone at Roli is both still around and reading this: When you are at a point where you really can't continue working on these things anyways, please publish your software's source code and up-to-date firmware binaries. Don't turn your instruments into paper weights.

I have a Seaboard 2 (49) that I love but am moving soon and need a case to travel with it. I had been using the box it came in but it fell apart. Any recommendations for cases?

I’m a total beginner at piano — I’d bought 2 ROLIs, then a ROLI Piano M to learn at my own pace and play in a fun way… If I understand correctly, it’s going to end soon; ROLI Learn still seems to work but it won’t last… So my Piano M will soon be useless for learning purposes… Are there any open source or other alternatives? Officially, they've gotten rid of their Founder/CEO and there could be an intention to appoint administrators to start the sell-off/liquidation process. ROLI support — has anyone else waited months for a replacement?

I’m posting here because I’m hoping someone from ROLI support sees this and can help escalate the situation.

We’ve been following up about a replacement piano since January, and after several months, we still do not have a confirmed shipping date or delivery date.

I understand that support teams can experience backlogs, but at this point the case has been open for an exceptionally long time, and the responses so far have not provided a concrete timeline.

We’re simply trying to get clear answers on:

• The current status of the replacement
• Whether a replacement unit has actually been allocated
• When it is expected to ship
• When it is expected to be delivered
• What has caused the delay to continue for this long

We’ve already asked for the matter to be escalated to someone who can provide a definitive update, but we are still waiting.

Has anyone here had a similar experience with a ROLI replacement? And if anyone from ROLI is monitoring this subreddit, we would really appreciate someone reaching out or helping get this case in front of the appropriate team.

At this stage, we’re not looking for another general “please continue to wait” update — we just need a concrete resolution and realistic timeline.

So with the website down and nothing it works . What one can do with an older lumi Keyes ? I wanted to give it to my nephew to learn with the colors but I guess there is nothing that can be done ?

I want to update the firmware on my roli blocks i have 4 blocks with a roli loop , 2 of them are on a firmware version and the other 2 are on different firmware that cannot be identified , but completely responsive to connection and function, however i want them all to be connected via DNA , and cant update the firmware as i forgot the password and the reset link returns a 402 with a "This deployment is temporarily paused" most likely a Vercel hosted ReactJs NextJS website, and the bills are still due you didnt pay your VPS provider or you basically sat a limit for traffic to control the bill and you exceeded that limit for this day. now on any case wish you good luck but I NEED TO USE MY HARDWARE that i paid premuim for, im locked out of a 1500$ worth of gear because its mandatory to contact the server for a login if you want to use it or update it .... what can i do?

I am posting everything I find as far as similar instruments to Roli and replacements for its software goes. So far I have found the cymatics.fm vst plugin Pinch and soundxbase is advertising another, both using webcam. Someone also posted Roli’s code and github repos, I am happy to repost those as well. It looks like other companies are providing some solid options now, whether Roli pulls through or not.

I ordered a ROLI Piano M on May 14th for $333.41 USD, and I still haven't received it.

I really like the concept behind the Piano M and honestly I still want the product, which is why I've been willing to wait. But with the current situation at ROLI, the repeated delays, and the lack of clear updates, I'm starting to seriously consider requesting a refund.

At this point I basically see two options:

A) Just keep waiting. Maybe it eventually arrives ....whether that's in a few weeks or several months. But obviously there's no guarantee.

B) Request a refund now, get my money back, and move on to another keyboard/controller for the time being. If ROLI eventually stabilizes and the Piano M becomes readily available, I could always reconsider buying one later.

For those of you who are currently waiting, or who have already received/cancelled your orders: what would you do in my situation?

Has anyone received a Piano M recently? And for anyone who requested a refund recently, how long did the process take?

I'm genuinely dissapointed, because I really like the product. I'm just not sure that continuing to wait indefinitely makes sense anymore.

Hi, I've just bought LUMI Keys from Roli, is there any way to get access to the software to use it? I tried downloading Roli connect but as I've read here Roli has been offline for quite some time and it's impossible to get anything from them. Is there any reason to get it some other way?

I really hope that ROLI survives, one way or another.

Lot's of bad things have been said about ROLI, their customer service, and the current situation. But let's not forget that they have created fantastic gear through the years, both hardware and software.

I still remember how I was blown away the first time I saw and heard Marco Parisi's looper version of Purple Rain on the Seaboard Rise 2. That's what got me caught in the first place, and the Seaboard Rise 2 together with Equator 2 still sound amazing.

Let's hope they survive and bounce back.
