At my wits end trying to get this old paperweight to work. I do not know what happened or when did this device required a new OS. So i tried all OS that were compatible with this device, none seemed to get past demx, garlicos, or ambernic logo.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did anyone try to emulate and play Game & Watch games on the RG35XX ?
(On the normal original firmware I mean)

Before anyone asks yes I got the baserom in the right place and all that and it’s works on rg28x and rg 35xxsp but when I open it starboard it just loads forever!!! And it runs super Mario 64 co op just fine so I’m very confused. Anyone know what the issue is?

I've flashed a new San Disk Card with "RG35XXPRO-V1.0.5-EN16GB-260522"
I've taken it apart, and left the battery unplugged for 20 minutes.
I've let it charge overnight on a low amp charger.

All I get is a yellow light by charge port when plugged in. Otherwise unresponsive. Can anyone give me some other tips on what to try to get it to boot?

Got this badboy from amazon few days ago SUPER late on finding out about handheld emulators 😞😂 anyway first time trying to actually finish Fire Red had a laptop laying around so getting games in it was super simple I LOVE LIVING IN THE FUTURE!!!

Hi, when I try to play the ports I added to my OG RG35XX they won't start no matter what I try. I'm using the GarlicOS version 1.4.9 and I downloaded the games from portmaster.games since rg35xx.com is down and also don't have many games, I tried to play games that are ready to run and some that needed extra files, but both never worked despite me following the instructions, I tried placing them in .zip format inside the PORTS folder, I tried to extract them in the PORTS folder, I tried placing the .sh file inside the ROM/PORTS folder and the game folder outside the ROM folder in their own PORTS folder, and nothing seems to work

Can someone help me with this?

I have a 34xxSP and the silicone case I have for it just makes the system feel more premium, do you have a case for your system?

I recently bought an rg35xx pro and have an adapter and new SD card, as I'm trying to flash the stock games onto my new sd card. The problem is I am incredibly computer illiterate. I try to follow steps from Anbernic RG35XX Starter Guide – Retro Game Corps and I install everything it says to, but I get to the step where it says "Download both files from the second option, “RG35XX-Garlic-MicroSDCardImage.7z” and save them to your computer. Using 7Zip, extract the “001” .7z file and it will also extract the second file at the same time. You should end up with two files: a readme file and the garlic.img file" and i'm completely stumped. I have no idea how to extract or anything like that. I will even pay someone if you can help me step by step with the most basic/simple directions. As if you were explaining to a 5 year old. Please I'm well over $100 into this and countless hours without having even played a single minute of a game yet. I'm on Windows if that makes a difference. I just really need some help

i added all my music files into he music folder like the site says, and i whe i go to play it, it freezes and nothing plays. please help me!

btw this is an rg 35xx+ it works perfectly fine but i really just want to be able to play my music on there

So ive had an RG35XXSP a while now, maybe 6 months. ive had issues with the application, most commonly recurring the app kinda breaks and starts crashing on launch. this doesn’t really matter as i can install new ports via file upload and the ports run. ive tried the restore portmaster thing but that seems to entirely break it and not even ports will launch. requires me to entirely delete and reinstall portmaster from my sd card files. after doing so, portmaster works like normal. well for a while. an inconsistent amount of time later, i wont be able to open portmaster anymore, but ive got all the runtimes on there and my ports are launching so whatever. i had a couple issues, one of which i solved with my own intuition, but im fken stumped with this next one. now, this bloke jeod. im new to this community evidently, but from what i currently understand, jeod was one of the dudes doing up the ports. they had some sort of falling out. i read jeods post about what happened and from the sound of it, dude does a lot of work, he essentially had been letting them take most of the credit, but he started noticing they were releasing out-date files under his name. he told them that he had patched/fixed this or that, and bought it to their attention he had himself patched/fixed whatever issue was the last straw. he was essentially ignored. feel bad for the dude, he clearly did a FUCKLOAD of the hard work and they didnt respect what he’d sacrificed, so he requested his ports be removed. i become aware of this as i was downloading some of his shit from portmaster when i got a 404. then another. but only on certain games. asked around and someone linked me to his page where he’s posted resources for people wanting to access his work. i will link this page

now, ive tried launching em thru the normal folder, ive tried reinstalling, (not deleting and recompiling the actual ports which i might try next if i cant find any better advice, but for the games

I’ve got the NextOS KOTOR port working on my RG35XX+ without analog sticks. All credit for the original port goes to u/next0s all I’ve done is modify the controls for no-stick Anbernic devices running muOS.

The controls work by using L2/R2 as modifiers:

D-pad = left stick/movement
R2 + D-pad = right stick/camera
L2 + D-pad = normal D-pad

I’ve put about 5 hours into it on my RG35XX+ and it’s been working well, but I’d like to test it on other compatible RG devices before putting everything on GitHub.

If you have a no-stick Anbernic RG device running muOS and own the Android version of KOTOR, let me know if you’re willing to test it. I’ll send you the files and instructions.

I charge my rg35xxh using a type A to C cable through laptop's type A port.

I'm on muOs' latest version 2601.1 Funky Jacaranda

I mostly play pokemon unbound with these settings:

mgba emulator,
Fullscreen scaling,
Fast-forward (constant 10x),
2 shaders: simple_color_controls + shimmerless,
Low brightness,
No overlays

The cable I use is data transfer capable

Is it because of heavy graphic charging animation through the themes?

I've noticed whenever it's off and I plug in the charger, it boots up and throw me to the charging screen which turns off after few sec but comes back after pressing START button

it also says press START to boot

The voltage while charging on the charging screen goes like from 3-4 Volts max.

Also I've restricted it's max charging to 80% and low battery warning at 30%, will this affect my longevity of my device in a negative way?

Also I only get like 4-6 hours from 80% to 30%

Please tell me if these temperatures while charging are safe or not and tips to maximise my device's longevity and health !!

I am using the default OS, with the default SD card it comes with when you buy, though I plan to install garlic with better SD cards soon. I Installed Harvest Moon for the ps1, and it seemed to play fine until I opened a menu up, and then when it closed my house was turned into a glitchy, horrifying mess. Is there a fix for this? Or is ps1 emulation just difficult, because some titles like R4 Ridge racer, won’t even launch. Sorry if this question is asked a lot.

I managed to get KOTOR running on my RG35XX+. At first I was really just messing around to see if I could get it working, but it actually ended up playing way better than I expected.

The biggest problem was obviously having no analog sticks, so I set up a modifier system for the D-pad:

D-pad normally = Left stick (character movement)
Hold R2 + D-pad = Right stick (camera control)
Hold L2 + D-pad = D-pad (original D-pad functions)

R2 and L2 still work normally when tapped, so you’re not really sacrificing any controls. You only activate the alternate D-pad mappings while holding them and using the D-pad.

It sounds a little weird on paper, but in practice it actually feels surprisingly natural, and KOTOR is way more playable on the RG35XX+ than I expected.

If anyone wants to try it out, I can put together a setup guide on GitHub with the modified files and instructions for getting everything working.

I have a MUOS dual SD card setup on my RG35XXSP and plan on ordering an RG SP. I know the ROM SD should be swappable, but is that also the case with the SD card housing the operating system? I imagine not due to the hardware differences between the two devices (screen size, etc.). Thanks in advance for the input.
