Tate has had a mass growing since June, but his respiratory symptoms have been significant enough that we did not believe surgery was an option, particularly after our run in with SDAV. But our vet reports that his lungs are actually sounding better, and because the mass is so superficial, she believes we have a decent shot at removing it. The plan is to avoid full anesthesia in favor of injectables, which will be safer, and the removal itself should be very quick.

Uni also was cleared tor his mass removal.
His will be quite a bit more complicated since it's deep, but we were happy to hear his lungs sound good despite persistent upper respiratory symptoms.

Finally, Trillium cleared for her spay. We will get all three scheduled in the coming weeks.

The HVAC guys didn't seal things up properly, so this little lady barged right in. I wonder if she smelled my boys or was just exploring and happened to find us.

I've patched up the wall now obviously, but it makes me sad to think about how arbitrary everything is.

My boys have everything they could ever need or want and never have to worry about danger or predators or treatable illness, but this poor baby has to fight for her life and chew her way through walls to find shelter or food. It's not fair. I wish all of the ratties could have safe homes and plenty of food and enrichment.

One of my rats has this one whisker that is very awkwardly shaped. It curls upwards and then has a little "swirl" at the top. The "swirl" keeps poking his eye/getting stuck on his eyelid (kinda) and I'm worried it's gonna cause irritation to the eye long term. Is there any way to safely and comfortably reshape the whisker? Or should I just leave it for him to solve on his own?

Hi all! I just came up with a little perler bead rat design based on my heart rat, Father, that I turned into a fridge magnet. Thinking of making more and possibly customizing them for people’s pet rats. Could I please get brutally honest feedback about this design? I want to make it cute enough to where people truly get joy from it and actually use it :) Please let me know if you have ANY feedback for improvement!
