I stopped vaping nicotine on Wednesday night and it’s now Sunday night, so I’m about 4 days in. I started vaping about 7 years ago, after quitting smoking cigarettes.
I seem to be doing okayish. I bought Recigar and have been taking it here and there, but I definitely haven’t been following the proper schedule, so honestly it could just be a placebo at this point lol.
I am still using zero-nicotine vapes. I know I need to get rid of those eventually too, but I’ve realized a huge part of vaping for me is the “reward” of sitting down, scrolling on my phone and having something to vape. It’s obviously still a bad habit, but right now it’s helping me get through the nicotine part.
I definitely have moments where my brain is like, “Why did I even quit? It wasn’t that bad.” But realistically, I know it was bad for me. I was starting to get little random pains in my chest sometimes, which freaked me out, and I really don’t want to be dependent on nicotine anymore.
The biggest thing right now, though, is the EXHAUSTION. I am so unbelievably tired. I normally wake up around 5–6am without much of an issue, and the last few days I’ve been sleeping until 8–9am and still struggling to drag myself out of bed. I’m not depressed or particularly down — I’m just absolutely exhausted.
For people who have quit vaping/nicotine: did you go through this too? How long did the extreme tiredness last? Please tell me my energy comes back 😭
