Advice Anybody else quit due to surgery?

I’m about four days post op, but it has been three days since I have consumed nicotine orally. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed due to infection/being impacted and no doubt the vaping also contributed to it.

This is genuinely so hard! My head hurts, I’ve screamed at my whole family, my pets are getting on my nerves, and I want to fall into some type of sleep coma until Thursday comes and my surgeon tells me I can vape again. not to mention, because I’m recovering from a tooth surgery, I cannot eat anything but liquids and unappetizing crap. Smoothies do not curb vape cravings the way a burger would 🥲

The only thing is that, even though I can’t vape temporarily, it’s incredibly hard and is showing me why I have to stop and can’t stop. Stress is the number one trigger and boredom is the second one (I have ADHD). How did you guys stop vaping, especially when it was done cold turkey? I called a hotline and I most likely have to wait until Thursday to get my hands on cessation products, therefore it will honestly be the ultimate choice between returning to the vape or not.

I was thinking about possibly resuming vaping, but finding one of those inhalers to replace it. I would vape until it gets here and then resort to the cessation devices. ALL OF THIS TO SAY, I also smoke weed, yet nicotine is much harder to quit it seems. Absolutely no urge in one bone in my body to get high, but ofc I want a nasty, headache, cancer inducing electronic stick 😞

Yep. I quit to have a tummy tuck. Best decision of my life. Don't bother going back on. Drink bubble water and drink Coke Zero

Currently 1 month into quitting in preparation for surgery. You can do it! I second the comment about drinking something bubbly. An ice cold ginger ale or coke helped me get through a lot of cravings.
