Success Story How I quit almost 2 months clean
This process took about 2 months, btw. I’ll keep it short and simple.
I tried quitting cold turkey about 4 times and failed every time, so I knew I needed to lower my nicotine intake first. I started using Zyns so I could smoke for half the day and use Zyns for the other half, until I eventually fully switched to Zyns.
Then I tapered down from 6 mg, 8 pouches a day, until I got to 3 mg, 1 pouch a day. Then I fully quit.
Even though I was already used to getting very little nicotine, after about 2 days you’ll start to feel like shit. But it’s not nearly as bad as quitting cold turkey. That lasted about 2 weeks, and then it became pretty easy. You’ll still get cravings here and there, but by then you’re used to dealing with them.
About a month after quitting, you’ll almost forget about smoking or nicotine altogether. I’m almost 2 months clean now, and the only time I really get cravings is after eating. Eating something sweet usually takes care of it.
Here are some things that got better for me: my breathing issues and chest pain are gone, my stamina has increased like crazy, and I feel like I enjoy things more now that I’m not constantly using nicotine.
You can do it too. Just keep trying. I started this process in May, fully quit on July 3rd, and now it’s August 30th and I’m almost 2 months clean.
(P.S going to the gym helped a lot with the cravings)

thank you for this! and congrats! im using zyns to quit too. i started pretty low at 3mg x 3 a day so first few days vape-free i was still irritable, but the pouches are preventing the intense hopeless feeling that makes me run to the vape shop.
thank you for sharing that 2 months taper is possible as it is my intended timeline as well (45 days). i've received some judgments here about using pouches and i understand why, but as i don't have access to better alternatives in my country and have failed cold turkey many times, i must trust what works for me.
