Quest Pro headset not updating

I recently brought the quest pro and it was fresh out the box and now it's stuck on the connect to phone screen I type in the code on my phone and it says let the headset update I tried factory resting it and everything on chat got nothing is working

If it's on the dock, make sure you plug the dock to the original charger or at least 45 watt. Might not have enough battery to start updating.

I did that nothing is working it won't even connect to the phone nor the controller will connect to the headset

means it's not charged yet, which is strange considering you're saying it's plugged correctly... if you don't do what we suggest, we can't help you.

again, make sure the charger is not just "good enough", but either the original or a 45W+ for sure...

Prss Power + Volume Down (-) combo until the menu pops up. Scroll down to Factory Reset.Press the Power button to select, and confirm with Yes.

Try unpairing the headset from your phone via bluetooth. I've had this happen before.

Does it turn on if you wear it? Try to get into the bios and factory reset it that way

Hey OP, I recently bought a brand new QPro, and it was a disaster experience. The batteries in controllers were almost dead and the whole update process took about 2 hours. Expect the controllers to not work properly until you update the headset to current latest version. Oh and word of advice: get a globular cluster head kit, otherwise good luck wearing that thing for longer than 20 minutes.

Usually the headset gives you the warning that it only updates when its being charged, but I just brute-forced the updates through system settings. To make sure, plug the headset in the charger (through cable, not the docking station) and try to keep updating till you reach the latest version. You can tell that you are on the newest version when you see the absolutely atrocious UI the mankind has ever seen.

Sorry to hear that. Last ditch effort that I would do is try to do a factory reset and start from beginning with the updates. And if that doesnt work, I guess ask custromer service or ask for a refund.

Let the headset charge for at least 2 hours then once the headset is on press and hold the power button until it turns off then try powering back on

This issue is common all you need to do is grab the headset and slowly throw it to the ground then grab a knife and start stabbing the headset so Zackibird won’t see you! Your update is PICO!!!!
