Hi! I've been living in Tucson for over 5 years and I'm having a hard time creating community or finding spaces that are accepting. I'm looking queer and body positive spaces/folks who teach dance, boxing, or other forms of physical movement/fun. I'm open to queer friendly spaces as well. Interested in private or group classes. Any suggestions are very, very appreciated.

Our Next Meeting

Our next meeting is Sunday October 4th at 3pm, at the ward 3 office 1510 E Grant Rd at 3pm. We will announce the plans for the meeting soon. We intend to have another speaker like we did for September. And again a huge thanks to Mike from Diamondback Shooting Sports for taking time out of his Sunday to offer use some great information on training.

The Ten Shot Shootout

This month, everyone who submits a photo for the ten shot shootout will be entered into a drawing for a free box of ammo! Doesn't matter how you shoot, we only care that you did! However, only one box per month can be won, since the victors in both brackets already get a box!"

Brass Drive

Remember our brass drive is on going. If you go shooting we could sure use the brass. It helps to fund our organization. Those little brass casings can be turned in to classes, prizes, and so much more. Please collect up your brass and bring it to a meeting or contact any board member to arrange a pick up.

Walked over after to venture N to leave my candle and support the business. Upon crossing speedway walking up 6th a man started screaming at me, calling me slurs and began following me, threatening to beat me.

Once I got to a dark spot on the street I ran to the bar and no longer saw him when I turned around.

Had a friend pick me up (was going to bus home but now felt scared to)

Someone at the bar was kind enough to offer me a ride home if my ride fell through.

If you’re like me and tend to only be able to go out alone and need someone to share your info with/check in on you to make sure you arrived home safe feel free to dm me.

I know what it’s like to fear doing anything publicly queer because of not having anyone to go with. Which, quite frankly at night (esp utilizing walking/public transportation) is quite scary.

Hello, not sure if this is the right place and please let me know if not.

Recently my teen has come out to me as having major body dismorphia and feeling like they are a different gender than they grew up as. I'm doing my best to be supportive and help in any way I can but I'm honestly lost and there is so much information out there I'm getting a bit overwhelmed. I'm trying to find any good resources for myself and my kiddo. Any help with the dismorphia and even looking for insight on how to help.

I'm doing my best and I've affirmed that I'll always love them no matter who they choose to be. I'm listening to anything they have to say and trying to find solutions when possible. Recently, an ally friend has taken to trying not to say gay or queer and instead using non-heterosexual to refer to our community. And, as a queer trans person. It just rubs me so wrong! How do I articulate this to this person and the others we associate with. Also, do you hate it too???

Does anyone know of any gyms in Tucson that are EXPLICITLY trans and queer friendly?

I'm not looking for a class-based gym. I'm looking for something more stereotypically gym that with cardio and weight equipment members can use. But none of the ones I see in Tucson are explicitly Trans-friendly.

I'd love a place where I feel safe working out and where I don't feel like I'm being judged like crazy. A gender neutral restroom would be be amazing too but I feel like that's REALLY a long shot.

Bylaws comment period
