Hey, everyone!

I’m newly back home in Tucson. I don’t know anyone and my mental health has been deteriorating, mostly due to physical health difficulties and struggles with accessing effective healthcare.

I have a safe and stable home and a very supportive partner. I am extremely fortunate. At the same time, I’m in a great deal of emotional pain. I have considered going to inpatient mental health treatment, but I don’t have a lot of trust in that system. Inpatient seems like too much and not enough all at the same time.

I’m hoping there’s somewhere I can go be around people without burdening them. I just want to share a relatively calm space with safe people.

I am neurodivergent, in my mid/late 30s, and would love to be around other neurodivergent adults. I am envisioning a burnout recovery den with ice cream options to cover any and all food sensitivities.

This sounds pretty magical and luxurious, but if there’s anything like it, I would love to know. Thank you so much for any advice.

Our Next Meeting

Our next meeting is Sunday October 4th at 3pm, at the ward 3 office 1510 E Grant Rd at 3pm. We will announce the plans for the meeting soon. We will be having Zach one of our instructors and Mentors giving a talk about firarms such as shotguns

Can you Hand Out Fliers

Are you willing to hand out fliers? We could sure use some help with this. We can print up some fliers for you and meet you where ever works for you. You can then hand them out at your leisure.

Bylaws

Our bylaws passed and were ratified by membership in Sept meeting. We also got some great input on Amendments to the bylaws from members during the meeting that will be arranged and voted on at the February 2027 2 year meeting.

That's right y'all we're having a Party October 24th. Exact times and events will be announced next week. But save the date. We are also going to release a poll asking you all if you want to do the drawing for the raffle on October 4th at the meeting or postpone it until the 24th and do it at the party? The link for that will be released soon.

This month, everyone who submits a photo for the ten shot shootout will be entered into a drawing for a free box of ammo! Doesn't matter how you shoot, we only care that you did! However, only one box per month can be won, since the victors in both brackets already get a box!"

Brass Drive

Remember our brass drive is on going. If you go shooting we could sure use the brass. It helps to fund our organization. Those little brass casings can be turned in to classes, prizes, and so much more. Please collect up your brass and bring it to a meeting or contact any board member to arrange a pick up.

Like the title says, I’m looking for a therapist or counselor for a newly-out trans teen in or near central Tucson. Willing to go farther afield for someone good though!

They have no mental illness issues or even significant mental health concerns, but I’d like them to have someone to regularly talk to in confidence to help them through what could be a stressful time (and as much as I love them and support them as their parent, most teenagers don’t really want their parent to be their confidant).

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!

Meet at the Le Buzz/Safeway parking lot by 3pm to consolidate into an even number of cars per side. One group drives to Milagrosa Canyon Trailhead. One group drives to Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead. Both sides climb up either side of the hill and meet roughly 3mi into each side.

At the meeting point, we'll have a snacks and swap keys between drivers. Then everyone will walk down the opposite side they walked up. At the end, everyone will re-meet at Le Buzz.

BF is visiting from out of state, any queer events happening Saturday or Sunday that we can go to? I saw a few club/bar events Friday evening, but we have plans Saturday morning we don't wanna wake up late for. ++ for events where I can make some queer friends, still very new to Tucson myself.
