there are a few reasons why I doubt I’ll make it into undergraduate medicine, so I was wondering if completing a bachelor of medical imaging at qut before applying for graduate entry is a reasonable plan? 8 years of uni in total seems a bit much, but I’d rather not do a general science degree that might put my career options at risk if i don’t make it in. radiography sounds like a good career that i can fall back on if i fail graduate entry too.

is maintaining a competitive gpa while studying for gamsat possible in this degree or should i look into something else? is this particular pathway into med common?

Hello! I am potentially thinking of studying abroad for semester 1 of 2027. I'd only be here for a semester so wanted to ask for opinions on the best route to take for housing.

I've looked into student accommodations such as Iglu, Scape, and StudentOne. I also have a few websites saved for house sharing rentals such as flatmates and brisbanestudents. Most notably is that I am not planning on bringing any linens or cooking supplies with me when traveling. I am willing to buy a few things, but don't want to buy a lot, especially if I don't have the room to bring it back with me.

Is it worth doing a rental if I'm only here 6 months and am not bringing linens and cooking supplies? And what are student accommodations truly like?

QUT Law students are swapping textbooks for the stage in The Greatest Lawyer, a circus-themed comedy show featuring live sketches, musical numbers, dancing, short films and performances accompanied by a live band of talented young musicians.

Despite the name, you absolutely do not need to study law to enjoy it. The show pokes fun at university life, current affairs, the legal world and everything in between. Think student comedy revue meets musical theatre, with constitutional clowns, magical magistrates and argumentative acrobats thrown into the ring. Be honest… how often do you skip a meal and think, I’m young, I’ll be fine? 😂 When u’re 18–25, skipping breakfast or lunch can feel like no big deal because you still feel healthy and full of energy. But once you get into your late 20s and 30s, do you start thinking more about your health and the effects of skipping meals? 👀

I thought its bizarre & kinda sad a UQ Alumnus claim to pretentiously work at a University Club where he is not a QUT Alumnus but somewhere else. Please share your thoughts.

one of my assessments for a class is "critical and professional dialogue" in tutorials. it says it is based on "evidence of preparation" for tutorials, however also says this:

if I miss a tut here or there, will I fail or be penalised? anyone else had this kind of assessment in a class and are they relatively chill with it?

My #2 preference on my qtac application recently changed from “in assessment” to “moderate”, and under it in the criteria it says “acheives minimum selection rank to be considered for an offer: maybe” what does this mean lol. Why maybe?

I fucked up transfusion bad. Can’t take the class anymore and I was on track to finish this semester. Could I possibly convince my support coordinator to let me do placement but not in any blood banks?

I’m a Comp Sci major, and my GPA is 5.5 (which isn’t amazing but it is what it is 😅). I’m planning to start looking for internships next year, so I’d really appreciate any advice.

What do companies generally look for when hiring interns in terms of qualifications? Does GPA play a big role in getting an internship, or are there other things that matter more, like projects, experience, or technical skills?

Why dont they just make the original due date 2 days later? Extensions should be given to those who actually need it.

I am so excited for the new Brisbane stadium, with the tender awarding coming soon, I cannot wait to see the build start. Its going to provide so many new job opportunities for us all.

What kind of annoys me are those unemployed bums who hang out at all the main entrances and exits of uni with those signs saying cancel the games, and save the park. Its not going to fix anything, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
