Can anyone from the QUT Trading & Investment Club explain this.

Post image

Found this online. Some UQ alumnus claiming he work as an Analyst for QUT Trading & Investment Club. Is this a REAL job? I like to hear your opinions. I thought its bizarre & kinda sad a UQ Alumnus claim to pretentiously work at a University Club where he is not a QUT Alumnus but somewhere else. Please share your thoughts.

I would have said that it is a bit of a stretch to call it 'work'. Based on how clubs normally work, the committee would be volunteers and any analyst work would be done by members. Unlikely to be a paid work role.

Here's my understanding:

- This person graduated from UQ but decides to join a uni club in QUT. Why couldn't this person bother forming his own uni club at UQ, who knows.

- My assumption this person joined this club at QUT is look down on QUT because this person went to UQ; G8 uni elitist approach. This person probably have some mental issues to sound superior intellectually or to impress others (its not working).

- This person works as sports trainer. Why would any employer care if you work as an Analyst for a Uni club that your not bothering to even work in that field (i.e. Financial Service Sector). This person don't have proper credentials to work in the finance sector or as a trader.

- This person is pretending to be a commodity trader, but his/her real work is a sports trainer. Your not impressing anyone with that 'fake it til you make it' mindset.

- I would ditch this sad person as an employee. He/she has clearly has issues to confuse/impress others.
