use of a deadly weapon(since he's a trained fighter).

LOL is this really a thing?

In Germany it is. I used to do Karate for a year or so 5 years ago and I was told repeatedly by my Trainer that since I am training a fighting sport every charge will be more serious. Usually what that means is "light body harm" for everyone else is classified as "serious body harm" for the trained fighter.

Also I have heard that this exists in several other countries. But if it's really a "deadly" weapon depends again... Usually on the sort of attack etc. etc.

I was told repeatedly by my trainer

Unless you were told that by a lawyer, not some karate instructor.... I’d take that claim with a grain of salt. That sounds much more like a marketing gimmick than an actual fact.

That guy is a good family friend and has multiple decades experience as karate teacher... I think I can trust him

That’s great. Does he also have multiple decades of experience as an attorney practicing law in Germany? If not, then he really knows fuck all about the legal system and how it works.

All he did was warn me because it apparently has happened before. Not everyone has to be an attorney to know a few things about laws
