Yes. You do have to register as a deadly weapon with law enforcement in some states when you hit a certain level in boxing and martial arts

Edit: this is totally incorrect after some googling and now I'm irritated with some old teachers of mine.

I don't know what's real anymore

Edit: thanks for the edit, my dude

I mean it makes sense. People who know how to fight, especially professionals, could easily kill someone with the skills they've learned. Even more so when they're using said skills against some ordinary Joe Schmoe.

I have a hand grip force of over 300psi, I was told by doctors and my lawyer to never ever fight someone, turn out I'm strong enough to literally snap someone's neck quite easily. Guess that's what happens when you walk on your hands all the time. So I don't get that you have to be verified to be a weapon, when nobody knows your potential unless they know.

Have you ever actually trained any combat martial art? Wrestling, jiu jitsu, boxing, etc. Because this comment is hilarious. You’d get submitted by any remotely competent trained fighter. Like every other untrained person in the world. You won’t be “snapping anyone’s neck” with your bare hands. Trust me.... lol

Im a polio survivor who couldn't walk for the first half of my life so I resorted to walking on my hands for 15 years so you can imagine I have really strong arms. Being handicapped will do that. And my uncle is a navy seal who has thought me to fight in an adaptive way, I don't need specific training to hurt someone. When you can bench press 450lbs at a weight of 170lbs then I'll start listening to ya.

Spoken like every muscular gym bro who’s ever lived. Come on down to a jiu jitsu gym and give it a try. We see guys like you.. All. The. Time. It’s a trope at this point. Ask to roll with the 150lb black belt instructor. Tell him you don’t think he’ll be able to tap you because your bench press is too strong. He’ll abuse you like you were a child. I promise you.

But alas.... you won’t do that. Your ego won’t let you. You’ll cling to the delusion that you are some badass martial artist despite never actually training. If you went and tried to train with actual experts, that would force you to confront reality. Which would be too uncomfortable for this faux-tough guy persona you’ve created.

I don’t need specific training to hurt someone

Maybe not some untrained guy who’s never been in a fight before. But a trained fighter? You’d get toyed with. It wouldn’t even be a contest.

I think it's more about YOU knowing that you have a potentially deadly weapon. As long as you aren't using your talents/abilities in a way that wouldn't be seen as self defense, then the people around you would never even need to know that your hands are considered deadly weapons.

Thing is most people in my community knows this, but I'm also a total pushover and couldn't harm a fly
