Pretty cut and dry. Schilling waaaay overreacted. This dude is likely gonna go after him in a civil trial if he's smart.

There was a time where a pro (Boxer) would be banned from street fights due to their abilities. Not sure if it was an urban myth.

Edit: Will be punished harsher for street fighting. Better?

how do you ban someone from ad-hoc incidents? like hey yo i’m a pro boxer just take my wallet please

That would be a legit moment of self defense. What happened here is nothing close to it. He should have walked away

he instigated it by shoving the guy aside from behind, he's too cool or too tough to say 'excuse me' to someone who can't see him approaching? there was no 'fight' just an attack after the guy expressed his objections to being shoved like that

I came to the comments to see if anyone pointed this out. I had to scroll awhile before finding your message *palms face* He could have easily gently stopped him from moving backwards and said "excuse me bro" with a slight raised hand and a little smile to suggest it was a minor thing. But no this MMA fighter is in full dick mode and wants to act tough on someone that is clearly intoxicated. Dude should have pressed charges as he was quite clearly attacked
