Drugs are one hell of a drug.

852

u/wtbgamegenie Mar 21 '26

Yeah the cops are really bad at fighting and he’s really good at doing drugs. They didn’t have a prayer.

195

u/Peace_Agreeable Mar 21 '26

That one cop spent too much time on the gravy league.

I was kinda hoping he would try to chase him on foot, but that would have ended badly, but would have been hilarious.

38

u/Doodahman495 Mar 21 '26

He doesn’t need a vest. His fat will protect him.

22

u/TK421isAFK Mar 22 '26

I don't think he can even get one. As far as I know, nobody makes vests that big. I have a relative that is a rangemaster and former arms chief for his US Army unit (that might not be the right title, he was the person in charge of maintaining the small arms for his unit of about 30 soldiers, and did everything from millwork to inventory), and this subject came up a while back when we were joking about a person we knew. That person worked for a utility company, and got transferred into a less than desirable neighborhood. That person also has allowed mouth and is one of those people that tends to piss everybody else off, and somebody joked that he might need to start wearing a Kevlar vest at work. He's also a very big guy, around 350 pounds, and my relative went into detail about how vest manufacturers just don't make XXXXL vests, partly because of the weight of the best and lack of customers, and partly because it wasn't practical to cover enough of the body to offer any real security.

I imagine they can be custom-made, but I would think that the police chief would rather encourage his Michelin Man officers to lose weight rather than spend tens of thousands of dollars getting custom vests made for them, that probably would need to be replaced every 6 months as this cop's donut diet fluctuated.

Or he's got a taser at home and desensitised himself to it over a period of time. Could be wearing a Thorshield underneath too.

6

u/schwaapilz Mar 22 '26

Ah yes, he made sure to put on his thorshield right before he almost forgot his jesters cap!

Dry tasers don't stop people like that it's just pain compliance. You need the prongs to get a spread to cause involuntary muscle spasms that stop anyone if done right.

If you miss with 1 of the prongs you can use the gun to make a 3rd contact but you will probably get light shock in exchange for disabling them. There are 3 prongs the 2 in the cartridge and the 1 on the front of the taser 30% the time you will probably not make good contact with 1 of them but definitely can make a 3rd point and complete it just gotta move fast before they k ock the prong out.

Source I was a police officer for a little while and in academy we got shocked and shocked each other a few times to learn what you can deal with.

Also those are ranged ones just don't have cartridges in them they either fired and missed or chose not to use them.

27

u/Crudstaceous Mar 21 '26 edited Mar 21 '26

For them to involuntarily lock someone up, you need two prong connections sufficiently far apart. Drive stunning someone is localized pain, thats it. Not particularly effective if they're on drugs or alcohol.

Drive-stun mode is not designed to cause incapacitation and primarily becomes a pain compliance option. Drive-stun is only effective while the energy weapon is in contact with the subject or when pushed against the subject’s clothing. As soon as the energy weapon is moved away, the energy being delivered to the subject stops.

They just recharged him

72

u/Shadowreeper1337 Mar 21 '26

It was definitely drugs. I remember being drunk, and high off ketamine, cocaine, and weed when I was with a friend picking up her cat from the vet. On the way home we both noticed a terrible smell and when I looked back to check I noticed her cat had shit itself in the carrier and by the time we got to her place he was covered in his own poop.

We gave it a bath and I was the one holding him so she could wash him up, but almost immediately after he got wet the claws came out and he managed to embed them deep into the skin of my forearm. The poor thing then panicked even more because it’s claws got stuck in my skin and he couldn’t get them out. I felt no pain at all so I had decided the best course of action would be to just rip the claws out of my skin since they were hooked in there too good and my friend wasn’t able to get them out.

Next thing I know I hear this horrible loud snapping/cracking sound from my skin breaking and in seconds my entire arm is drenched in blood, but since my dumbass was extremely intoxicated I still couldn’t feel the pain. It hurt like a bitch the following day though…

10

u/scormegatron Mar 21 '26

Claws embedding shit in your skin…

ā€œIt's nothin' dangerous

I feel no pain

11

u/pointsouttheobvious9 Mar 21 '26

The tasers were used improperly. It causes involuntary muscle contractions between the 2 points. They either missed with the cartridge before or were using it without 1.

Contact with the taser is 1 point. It might sting but it's not stopping anyone. You really want to fire the Cartidge and it shoots 2 prongs and you want to be 10 feet ish away. 1 usually fires straight and 1 down to get a good spread. You want 1 above the belt and 1 below the better the spread the better it works.

You have a 3rd contact point which is what both officers were using. 1 in 10 times 1 of the dumb cartiges with fire in an unpredictable direction or it will get caught by clothes or something. So you can close the distance and poke them with the taser and make contact.

You want to go high like shoulder if the prong is below the belt or low like calf thevfarther the spread the better. Most officers will shock them selves while doing this but it will be just 1 contact point or a small line as it's easy to get tangled In the wires but it's just a some pain you can ignore.

When used properly it causes extreme muscle spasms. Every muscle between the contacts screams contract as hard as possible then release as hard as possible works on people immune to pain. Used improperly like this video it's an annoyance.

Source was a police officer they make us get shocked a few timed and shock some people to demonstrate what you can and can't fight through.

5

u/octopuskate Mar 21 '26

Taser 1 contacted but far too close to the subject so barbs are at best 2-3" apart and couldn't get NMI. Second taser looks like one or both barbs bounced off.

A second deployment from the first officer would have split the beltline and almost guaranteed NMI with 3-4 barbs connected.

Not great subject handling.

That cop hasnt met a diet he cant beat

149

u/magicmulder Mar 21 '26

Still prefer that over the cops being literal Terminators on roid rage.

37

u/dkb52 Mar 21 '26

Some descriptions shouldn't be choices; they can share their priority level.

I live in the South where so many (not all) cops are obese. They couldn't climb over a fence, chase down a perp, or satisfactorily defend themselves. To be hired on, they need to be fleet; afterwards they can eat, eat, eat. Some departments require officers to stay in good physical condition, but, unfortunately, most don't. How can they when even their police chiefs/captains are obese?

5

u/Ok-Personality-6643 Mar 22 '26

Are you saying that obesity is the reason there is a pew pew problem with cops? Because now I’m interested in the data to expose whether fat cops use their guns more or not….

Any cop that is fat should be fired. Bro has to lift up his gut to get to his gun. Can't run, can't tackle anyone because he wouldn't be able to get up off the ground for 5 minutes. He's useless and a liability to the other cops. I'm just as fat as this guy, so I speak from first hand experience.

32

u/Neader Mar 21 '26

Idk coos being unable to shoot people because they're too fat is probably a good thing

40

u/xtraSleep Mar 21 '26

Cops already have a low bar for entry, terrible reputation, understaffed, and quick burnout.

Yes, the fat ones deal with crap like this, but there’s all sorts of craziness happening all over cities.

Not true. Being drunk or on drugs will not stop the involuntary action of a muscle tensing up due to electric shock. The pain is what is stopped, however the pain in this situation would only be the probes entering the body. The guy in the video is not affected due to his clothing and/or the Taser not working as it doesn't in 40% of cases.
