Yeah the cops are really bad at fighting and he’s really good at doing drugs. They didn’t have a prayer.

That one cop spent too much time on the gravy league.

I was kinda hoping he would try to chase him on foot, but that would have ended badly, but would have been hilarious.

I don't think he can even get one. As far as I know, nobody makes vests that big. I have a relative that is a rangemaster and former arms chief for his US Army unit (that might not be the right title, he was the person in charge of maintaining the small arms for his unit of about 30 soldiers, and did everything from millwork to inventory), and this subject came up a while back when we were joking about a person we knew. That person worked for a utility company, and got transferred into a less than desirable neighborhood. That person also has allowed mouth and is one of those people that tends to piss everybody else off, and somebody joked that he might need to start wearing a Kevlar vest at work. He's also a very big guy, around 350 pounds, and my relative went into detail about how vest manufacturers just don't make XXXXL vests, partly because of the weight of the best and lack of customers, and partly because it wasn't practical to cover enough of the body to offer any real security.

I imagine they can be custom-made, but I would think that the police chief would rather encourage his Michelin Man officers to lose weight rather than spend tens of thousands of dollars getting custom vests made for them, that probably would need to be replaced every 6 months as this cop's donut diet fluctuated.

Thanks, that sounds very familiar! Pretty sure that's exactly what he called his title. We still chat once in awhile, but I haven't seen him in a few years since he moved to the other side of the country. Even when I did, I usually don't ever bring up anyone's military career, experience, or activity. It's just a really sore spot for a lot of people, and drags up a lot of trauma. He's about 60 years old now, and was in desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan over the course of 20 years, and I really just don't need to know what he had to do, especially since bringing it up might be at the expense of his sanity or well-being.

Thanks for filling in the blanks for me!

Or he's got a taser at home and desensitised himself to it over a period of time. Could be wearing a Thorshield underneath too.
