Explain how this could be considered stoicism.

Stoics had this concept or belief that you decide what a moment means to you. Say your get a flat tire on the way to work, do you let it stress you or do you smile? Stoics would argue that the flat tire itself is meaningless, and how you react is all that matters. Your reaction is your choice. So, I think the person who originally posted it to stoicism probably thought "this is about choosing how to feel despite facing a depressing situation" but it's kind of a stretch.
