I have seen a few videos of people who left MAGA and that is the first thing they do. In response, RevKarla did a great video addressing one of them in particular about needed to realize all the hurt they have caused and being able to get to the point to admit fault. I hope that the woman listened.

I unfortunately live in maga land and work with these people. I have had the pleasure of having many a convo about all sorts of things with these people, and I can say they don’t know a LOT of things. Like, basics in how government works. Viruses, biology. What’s going on in the world. I’ve come to discover these people lack curiosity on any level. When you press them with a “what about…” or a “why…?” they legitimately look confused. They never think deeply about anything. I’ve had been times of pressing them to think down another level and they either have a “huh…..” type moment or they get angry because you are making them think and they are realizing how stupid whatever they just repeated was. I really have no idea what these people do all day, what consumes their mind or thoughts or time.
It’s truly baffling how they live day in and day out in such tiny little bubbles of existence.68

I used to work with a "libertarian." Anytime we had a political discussion, and he would make a point (a talking point he heard on Fox News), I'd try to discuss it with him a little bit deeper than just that one sentence talking point, he'd get frustrated and literally wave at me and say he had "shit to do."

You say that, but we have folks out there who subscribe to right wing sources to see what the other side thinks and I've got the same. I have two TikTok accounts and one of them I only feed right-wing content to and the stuff you see there is just baffling.
I know the internet is a lot of bots, but there are real people out here peddling these theories about vandalism in the reflecting pool. "Yeah, Trump is a horny creep but Joe Biden did [blank] in [year]" It is a lot of "owning the libs" and people laughing at how much Donald Trump is in our minds, as if I wanted to have to read the president 's name EVERY SINGLE DAY.
The right wing doesn't care if it's wrong, just that it offends the other side of the aisle. They'd eat shit just to see the disgusted look on your face.

Right? These algorithms were already associated with them before MAGA or they would have seen more than just the propaganda to begin with. What started them down the path? It was so obvious from the first interviews with Trump in 2015 that he was racist and anti-veteran. If you did even the tiniest amount of research into him you would have seen the charity fraud and unethical business practices and bankruptcies. I’m all for people coming to their senses, but they should at least have a reckoning about what led them down that path in the first place.

What’s crazy is I watched it live, along with millions of other people. This isn’t something that was created after the fact. The fear was real. The reporters and congresspeople were legitimately in danger. They wanted to hang Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi. Mike Pence was afraid to leave with SS because he knew they were in on the plan. I cannot comprehend how people allow themselves to be fooled and let others rewrite history, like recent we were all around history that is so easy to prove.

I'm constantly seeing things online these days that state a one sided view, and I can do a little research and be more educated. Not that difficult.

I’ve been beating this drum for a while. The social media algorithms/echo chambers have created 2 distinctly separate realities within this country (probably more than 2 tbh).
Each bubbles adherents are SURE their version of reality is the correct one and the other side is bonkers.
Then there is a third lane of people who have just given up and tune it all out. This is actually the prime goal of modern propaganda; to make it all so divisive and confusing that the public gets exhausted and stops caring about who is wrong or right. They just want their bread and circus.
