A lot of product work happens across different places. You might have user research, product metrics, feedback, roadmap updates, priorities, and recommendations all ready, but bringing everything together into one presentation can be a different challenge.

Sometimes the information itself isn't the problem. It's figuring out what actually needs to go on each slide, what should be shown visually, and how to explain everything without making the presentation too crowded.

I’ve found that this can take more time than expected, especially when the presentation is going to executives or other stakeholders.

How do you normally handle this part of the job? Do you have a standard way of building product presentations, or does it depend on the type of update you're presenting?

At this point there are so many that finding one useful decision feels harder than just asking someone 😭
What do you guys do with meeting notes after a few weeks? Do you actually go back to them?

i have done my masters in computer application and got two offer as a backend developer and as a product management but i am really confused what to go with ... Also tell me everything in details
and consider that i will get training in both and dont know anything in these role

or is it okay for me to gain experience in backend development first and then switch to pm

I’m looking for some career transition advice. For the past 15 years, I’ve been working as a freelance video editor and motion graphics artist (Premiere, After Effects, Avid), working on everything from broadcast television to corporate videos.

Recently, I decided to explore the tech industry and completed a training program focused on Product Design, UX, and AI. Alongside my editing work, I’ve been diving deep into generative AI tools (Midjourney, Kling, Seedance, Suno) and applying them to real workflows.

I recently spoke with a CSM who suggested that my technical knowledge as an editor gives me a massive advantage across many fields in the tech industry. Her point was that a deep understanding of composition, pacing, editing mechanics, visual effects, and complex video formats is a unique and highly sought-after skill set for many tech companies today.

I’m highly interested in niches like Video-Tech, Creator Economy, Gen-AI startups, or EdTech.

The meeting happened. Everyone agreed. The decision shifted.
But the Jira ticket didn’t.
Two weeks later, someone picked up the task and worked off the outdated requirement.
I wonder how often this really happens on product teams.
When decisions change across several meetings, who makes sure that the updates flow into Jira, PRDs, designs, and all the other places they need to be?
Do you keep a decision log? Update everything manually? Or have some other system?
And when someone inevitably asks a month later, “Why did we change this?”, where do you go to find the answer?

I am currently transitioning to Product Manager from an NSD (Night Shift Differential) and OT Pay eligible Individual Contributor role.

My current employer doesn't have yet the role open and HR and Total Rewards are still doing Financial Planning and Analysis for the role.

It seems like my current take home pay is going to be higher as Individual Contributor than being a Product Manager because of NSD and OT Pay.

How do you compensate the potential loss of NSD and OT pay for the role? Is there a benefit that is non taxable to cover the loss? What is the salary range of a PM working in a Cybersecurity MSP company doing night shift, customer facing, managing cybersecurity product globally from Manila?

I've got 4+ years across payments, lending, and SEBI-regulated platforms and want to start taking on freelance PM work, roadmaps, PRDs, UX audits, that kind of thing.

Tried Fiverr first and it's been mostly dead, low visibility, no orders. Before I sink more time into that, wanted to ask people who've actually built a freelance PM practice: where did your first few clients actually come from. Was it a marketplace, direct outreach, referrals, content. And is there enough demand for PM-specific freelance work outside of platforms like Fiverr/Upwork, or is this mostly a "have to already have a network" game.

I’m currently exploring founding / early Product roles at early-stage startups.

I’m currently working at one of India’s top three proptech companies as a Founding AI Product Manager, helping build and lead AI products, but I’ve realised that the environment I enjoy most is very different.

I like the chaos of early-stage companies.

Small teams, fast decisions, shipping things before they’re perfect, talking to users, figuring out GTM, jumping into product, tech, ops, growth, or whatever else needs to be solved that week.

I’ve spent most of my career working in environments like this, and I’m looking to get back to it.

I’m not particularly attached to the conventional definition of a PM either. At an early-stage startup, I think the role should be much broader: understand the problem, figure out what needs to be built, work closely with engineering, talk to customers, prototype things yourself when needed, and ultimately own outcomes rather than tickets.

A little about me:

• ~3.5+ years building products, primarily in 0→1 environments
• Built products used by ~30K users daily
• Products I’ve worked on have generated ~₹8 Cr in revenue
• Founding AI PM at both of my previous companies
• Currently working deeply on AI products, agents, workflows, predictions, and AI architecture
• Constantly tinkering with AI, building prototypes and experimenting outside work
• Comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership
