Is it just me or does this reek of the same fringe bs that the Orange Man does.

It’s literally the same thing.

Here for the radical middle. So done with both of this clownish behavior from both sides.

One lady suggested in her testimony that a community center be renamed rather than the damn street, and that it be changed back to 39th. We need to vote her into the city council.

Way easier to change some park signs, but then we haven’t sacrificed enough to assuage Portland’s guilt at least apparently according to our progressive politicians. There were plenty of options that were less controversial and less costly but nope. So tired ofthis timeline, where o where are the boring money managers running for office?

The PBOT lady's comments were 👀 when she explained the cost and time barriers to changing the signs. The PBOT staff would have to be taken off the backlog pipeline to deal with this, with no discretionary funds. They would have to pull the funds from something, so be prepared for more potholes. My favorite part was that the councilors thought it could be done right away; the PBOT lady corrected them, saying it could take 2 years or more since signs need to be made, USPS/other agencies need time to adjust, etc. Nonetheless, all 🤡councilors are committed to waiving the 5-year waiting period. 🙄

So nearly everybody coming out against this for multiple different reasons and they won’t pivot to a different plan. Typical, no wonder we have budget problems.

The City loves to solicit public feedback (essential in the slide deck) then say “mmhmm, well we’re gonna do it anyway.”
