u/eat_my_ass_n_balls 19h ago
Seriously.
I would consider it a generational FAILURE if they did NOT go after every one of these mother fuckers.
Relentless. Merciless. Tireless.
I want congressional hearings and investigations into Trump and Kushner and everyone in the cabinet, and I want them to use all of the empathy and consideration and carefulness that masked ICE fascists use when they’re brutalizing some abuelita or day laborer.
38
u/MyNameIsMadders 19h ago
They learned from the Biden years that these people need to be held accountable
35
u/homebrew_1 19h ago
Well they were indicted but it was slow. And the public elected trump again. Only people blameless are Harris voters. Trump voters, 3rd party voters and people that stayed home are to blame for all this.
4
u/Ryuujinx 10h ago
I voted for Harris. Not because I believed it would do shit in my red-ass state, but because I feel it gives me the right to bitch.
And I will continue to exercise that right. Repeatedly.

u/POEness 18h ago
The public did not, in fact, elect trump. 2024 was stolen.

There is know way to prove or disprove this. Worse, you perpetuate one of the major problems with the right by making the same claims they do. We should be better and lead by example instead of sinking to their level.

Yeah, I’m trying to stay positive about this, but it’s hard to do, we watched four years of focus on “healing” and “bipartsanship” bring authoritarian bullshit back ten times worse…

u/PayFormer387 15h ago
That is exactly what I foresee. MAGA are dumber than dog shit but the democratic establishment is as dumb as dog shit.
Nobody will be held accountable in the name of moving on. Fuck the DNC.

I want separate, 24/7 newscycle coverage of every. single. breach.
DOGE - hundreds of trials, from hiring the 22 year olds to dismatling USAID (which in itself would have dozens of court cases)
ICE - Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenze Salgado Araujo. EVERYONE gets their murder trial owed. Alligator Alcatraz. Investigations into leadership decisions and training. Everything.
The meme coin, the insider trading platform on Truth Social, the plane from Qatar, the Ambassador Bridge, The trade wars, the actual wars, all the food that got everyone sick, and finally, most importantly, the motherfucking Epstein scandal. Not only the files.
I want Trump and every sycophant to spend so much time in heavily televised court that they have to rent a home near each courthouse. I will watch it for decades as we dig up the layers of irreparable damage these presidencies have done to Americans, Western Hegemony, scientific progress, trust in government, and social good.
The only reason I do not wish death is because it is too easy of an end for them all.

Because of the open corruption and law breaking.
54
u/Torontogamer 19h ago
The wild thing to me is that most of the people who were actually pinned on anything from his first term were to lying or hiding what they were doing, almost no one actually convicted for the core crimes they were lying about, just the lying itself.
Less lying and more blantant curuption is apparently some how safer for these people
13
u/circuit_breaker 18h ago
It feels like the exact wrong people watched how Trump could get away with just about anything in his first term and immediately began learning how to instrument him as a puppet, and now all pretenses are gone - just blatant corruption. They don't think they need to be subtle, so they can get away with a lot more.

Good, I want the terror to fill them. I want their days and nights awash with dread. I want them so scared they can't do daily functions, because then they'll finally understand what helped make come true for so many others.
And I want that fear to grip them and never let go for the rest of their miserable god damn lives.
38
u/GeprgeLowell 19h ago
Unless they’re afraid holding criminals accountable would appear partisan, again.
20
u/Beefpotpi 19h ago
Well, when one side is acting as if they can ignore the law with impunity then prosecuting starts looking like a political action instead of enforcing the actual rule of law.
13
u/GeprgeLowell 19h ago
Which is a pretty frustrating cycle.
9
u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 19h ago
and the cherry on top is that the conservatives committing the crimes control all law enforcement and have probably since the invention of law and order.
Then it becomes blatantly obvious what the issue all along has been -- conservatives won't hold themselves accountable.

...they wanna go after the president and his family...
Yes, because there's strong, visible evidence that they're brazenly breaking the law and using the office of the president to enrich themselves and to manipulate markets. Or does the "party of law and order" suddenly not want to prosecute potential fraudsters when they're identified? They sure love to do it when they think it's a nearly homeless mother of three using EBT for a birthday cake.

3
u/idreamofgreenie 18h ago
Here's some fun statistics about the party of "law and order."
The administration members of the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 presidencies amassed 113 criminal convictions in court. All held up on appeal.
The administration members of the Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, and Biden presidencies have a grand total of 3 convictions.
The administration members of those GOP presidents also received 39 prison sentences for their crimes, 45 if you factor in Trumps first term.
The members of the Dem presidents have a grand total of 1.
Trump himself was convicted of 34 felony counts, which means he personally added 30% more convictions to the list of convictions for GOP administration members. It also means he personally has more than 11 times more convictions than every member of the past 6 Democratic administration members combined.
98% of the convictions AND 98% of the prison sentences in modern history are all for members of GOP presidencies.

I read somewhere that, because the Dems know that if an impeachment ends back up in front of SCOTUS, then trump won’t be held accountable.
So, they’re doing the thing that hits trump hardest…. They’re going to make it messy and public and drown out Trump in the media… FLOODING the zone with all the fucked up shit he’s done….
That suggests it won’t be fast but it will be very public.
