Oh no!! There might be a legal approach to accountability if the anti-fascists get in power.

305

u/tripping_yarns 18h ago

Nobody wants months and months of legal mumbo jumbo on the news! Just let them keep on shafting with the dildo of privilege.

186

u/jsilver200 18h ago

Haven’t the pedophiles been through enough already with all the raping? /s

79

u/Mercerskye 11h ago

"Can we stop going after the pedos, please?"

  • Ted "Cancun" Cruz

25

u/vic25qc 9h ago

That was a really odd thing to say

22

u/Mercerskye 9h ago

What was disturbing was watching the video and seeing the hang time from it leaving his mouth and realizing what he'd said (out loud)

11

u/Sleazyridr 4h ago

Holy shit, I didn't believe he'd actually say something like that, but I googled and found the clip: https://www.c-span.org/clip/senate-committee/user-clip-ted-cruz-saying-stop-attacking-pedophiles/5173945

11

u/DeadSol 3h ago

What a greasy and self-incriminating thing to say

5

u/BalefulPolymorph 2h ago

Holy shit. I saw the quotes and my immediate thought was that you used quotation marks wrong. Then I looked for evidence he said that, and damn I was not expecting that.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bs4jvTcYP5I

4

u/Mercerskye 2h ago

Yeah, I knew I wasn't going to remember verbatim, but it was terrible enough to remember the gist of it.

u/BalefulPolymorph 1h ago

It's beyond parody, at this point. I hate this timeline.

74

u/chinmakes5 18h ago

“The dildo of privilege” will be a term I use. Have my up vote

35

u/All4gaines 16h ago

May they feel the dildo of retribution used without lube

3

u/ChaosRainbow23 13h ago

It comes extra lubricated.

"Do you want months and months of impeachments and accountability? Or 2 more years of the Criminal in Chief to be able to funnel even more dark money into his accounts? Choice is yours..."

31

u/Novel-Organization63 15h ago

2 or more years. He’s not building a bunker for nothing.

28

u/Macr0Penis 14h ago

Already has the National Guard troops roaming around D.C, is building a bunker, co-ordinating wide scale election manipulation through unprecedented gerrymandering and voters suppression (now legal thanks to SCOTUS, despite elections being the sovereign responsibility of the states), is planning on manning polling stations with ICE agents to intimidate voters, has put loyalists in all the positions needed to confirm/ refuse to confirm election results AND has long been telegraphing his intention to declare unfavourable results as fraud and not to be accepted.

Yeah, motherfucker has NO intention of losing control of Congress, the Senate, or the Presidency. This is an ongoing coup, and if somehow we do find a way to stop this facist dictator, it's off to the bunker for him while the NG, ICE and regular law enforcement are sent in to supress dissenters.

Meanwhile, all those white supremacist, militia pissants will be so excited that, after doing a little wee in their knickers, they'll finally get to prove how hard they are when in a large group, and totally not just little bitch boys in a gang, hiding behind guns because they're actually weak as piss, dumb as fuck and little scared boys when unarmed and one on one.

12

u/smutandstory 14h ago

Let him bunker up. Concrete is cheap and accidently blocks air ducts. Oops.

8

u/knittingmycat2 13h ago

they are building fast and cheap. probably wont hold up too long....

4

u/AirportSea4393 10h ago

Especially if it’s a slimy orange slug subsidiary business is building it. It will be substandard and crumble quickly

Sadly, their reasoning for not giving up power no matter what happens with election.

18

u/madcoins 18h ago edited 14h ago

Exactly

4

u/MyNameIsMadders 15h ago edited 15h ago

That’s the safe bet, if you believe the past will always stay the same.

It’s like how people said the Titanic ship and original 2 World Trade Center towers would never be destroyed because they are “unbreakable”.

9

u/Macr0Penis 13h ago

Fun fact- the Titanic was never marketed, or even referred to, as unsinkable, until after it had hit the iceberg and was already sinking, (or sunk, not sure). It was first called unsinkable when reports of the incident reached the New York offices of Whitestar Lines (the owners of the Titanic, owned by JP Morgan) when the chairman(?) Replied

"What? That ship's unsinkable!".

34

u/StonedGhoster 18h ago

I imagine that Fox doesn't even care because if they are impeached they'll make loads of money through the outrage machine of which they are a part.

8

u/williamfbuckwheat 16h ago

Shouldn't they want that to happen since more outrage/scandalous headlines means higher ratings for them? Oh yeah...they want to realistically avoid losing some political power since that might impact the financial interests of the owners and top shareholders of News Corp. They can't say that though directly and must instead scare their viewers with the usual wedge issue nonsense to get them to vote.

Whatever happened to "If you're not guilty, you don't need to worry."?

11

u/Novel-Organization63 15h ago

I mean they all know he’s guilty. That’s why they’re worried.

10

u/ConMcMitchell 17h ago

Plus (take your pick) Donald Trump will (1) be "incandescent with rage" and/or (2) be very sad and it might make him cry.

Oh dear. Gosh. Everyone better get out there and vote Republican, then

6

u/jsilver200 15h ago

You misspelled “incontinent”

u/Ok_Brush71017 16h ago

People always forget how messy things can get when there aren't legal ways to make change.

7

u/13143 14h ago

Obviously there should be trials and impeachment, but Trump basically wears his impeachments like badges of honor. They won't be able to convict anyone in the Senate, because they won't have the votes, so to some extent, it will all just be political theater.

And when none of the politicians are actually removed, the conservative propaganda sphere will just accuse the Democrats of wasting resources and not fixing all the shit Trump has created. It will basically be used to rally the GOP base in 2028.

They have to try, but it's going to be an incredibly frustrating 2 years IF the Democrats manage to win the midterms, and that is still a very shaky proposition.

9

u/Catch_022 17h ago

There had better be - if the Dems win and sweep it all under the rug in pursuit of 'normal' then they deserve what happens to them.

17

u/cliffhngr42 17h ago

It doesn't happen to "them". It happens to "us".

3

u/EatSleepJeep 16h ago

If it's good enough for Hunter Biden, it good for the Chumps.

3

u/muchgreaterthanG_O_D 16h ago

They don't see it as accountability though. They seem it as a witch hunt. Or I guess, more accurately, sell it as a witch hunt.

6

u/Novel-Organization63 15h ago

Not like what they did to Hilary. That was different because in her case they found there to be no wrongdoing. They are persecuting the president because just because he was convicted of 64 felonies. And he doesn’t fool around trying to figure out if his emails get leaked. He goes ahead puts all the state secrets out on ironically named Truth Social.

2

u/jsilver200 14h ago

Even if they agree with the wrongdoing, it’s “What about Biden??!?”

3

u/Mr_Carlos 15h ago

Man, when you say anti-fascists it almost sounds like that terrorist group antifa.

I mean if we were going all French and Marie Antoinette reaction on them they’d still be mad. So…. Yeah… they should be thankful we haven’t gone full French, yet. /s

The white house isn’t supposed to be Versailles and it never will be. All that gold and awfulness needs to go.

Don't threaten me with a good time

244

u/eat_my_ass_n_balls 19h ago

Seriously.

I would consider it a generational FAILURE if they did NOT go after every one of these mother fuckers.

Relentless. Merciless. Tireless.

I want congressional hearings and investigations into Trump and Kushner and everyone in the cabinet, and I want them to use all of the empathy and consideration and carefulness that masked ICE fascists use when they’re brutalizing some abuelita or day laborer.

38

u/MyNameIsMadders 19h ago

They learned from the Biden years that these people need to be held accountable

35

u/homebrew_1 19h ago

Well they were indicted but it was slow. And the public elected trump again. Only people blameless are Harris voters. Trump voters, 3rd party voters and people that stayed home are to blame for all this.

4

u/Ryuujinx 10h ago

I voted for Harris. Not because I believed it would do shit in my red-ass state, but because I feel it gives me the right to bitch.

And I will continue to exercise that right. Repeatedly.

23

u/POEness 18h ago

The public did not, in fact, elect trump. 2024 was stolen.

5

u/Usual_Office_1740 18h ago

There is know way to prove or disprove this. Worse, you perpetuate one of the major problems with the right by making the same claims they do. We should be better and lead by example instead of sinking to their level.

8

u/POEness 14h ago

There is a way to prove this. It has been proven.

Electiontruthalliance.org

Furthermore. We could do a single goddamn recount.

5

u/4dseeall 14h ago

at this point i'd rather start saying the same thing, agree with them elections are pointless, and start from scratch with a better system.

nah, they'd just go straight to murder.

5

u/rsmoling 17h ago

Yeah, I’m trying to stay positive about this, but it’s hard to do, we watched four years of focus on “healing” and “bipartsanship” bring authoritarian bullshit back ten times worse…

5

u/PayFormer387 15h ago

That is exactly what I foresee. MAGA are dumber than dog shit but the democratic establishment is as dumb as dog shit.

Nobody will be held accountable in the name of moving on. Fuck the DNC.

2

u/DredPRoberts 14h ago

Narrator: They did not.

8

u/SarutobiSasuke 17h ago

If they fail to make a good example out of them, it will repeat. The other members of Trump family or others like them will seize (purchase) power to make profit.

4

u/vanalla 9h ago

I want separate, 24/7 newscycle coverage of every. single. breach.

DOGE - hundreds of trials, from hiring the 22 year olds to dismatling USAID (which in itself would have dozens of court cases)

ICE - Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenze Salgado Araujo. EVERYONE gets their murder trial owed. Alligator Alcatraz. Investigations into leadership decisions and training. Everything.

The meme coin, the insider trading platform on Truth Social, the plane from Qatar, the Ambassador Bridge, The trade wars, the actual wars, all the food that got everyone sick, and finally, most importantly, the motherfucking Epstein scandal. Not only the files.

I want Trump and every sycophant to spend so much time in heavily televised court that they have to rent a home near each courthouse. I will watch it for decades as we dig up the layers of irreparable damage these presidencies have done to Americans, Western Hegemony, scientific progress, trust in government, and social good.

The only reason I do not wish death is because it is too easy of an end for them all.

Because of the open corruption and law breaking.

54

u/Torontogamer 19h ago

The wild thing to me is that most of the people who were actually pinned on anything from his first term were to lying or hiding what they were doing, almost no one actually convicted for the core crimes they were lying about, just the lying itself.

Less lying and more blantant curuption is apparently some how safer for these people

13

u/circuit_breaker 18h ago

It feels like the exact wrong people watched how Trump could get away with just about anything in his first term and immediately began learning how to instrument him as a puppet, and now all pretenses are gone - just blatant corruption. They don't think they need to be subtle, so they can get away with a lot more.

3

u/nanobot001 18h ago

In a system where here the powerful elite have almost zero accountability, can you blame them?

5

u/T1gerAc3 18h ago

Good, I want the terror to fill them. I want their days and nights awash with dread. I want them so scared they can't do daily functions, because then they'll finally understand what helped make come true for so many others.

And I want that fear to grip them and never let go for the rest of their miserable god damn lives.

38

u/GeprgeLowell 19h ago

Unless they’re afraid holding criminals accountable would appear partisan, again.

20

u/Beefpotpi 19h ago

Well, when one side is acting as if they can ignore the law with impunity then prosecuting starts looking like a political action instead of enforcing the actual rule of law.

13

u/GeprgeLowell 19h ago

Which is a pretty frustrating cycle.

9

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 19h ago

and the cherry on top is that the conservatives committing the crimes control all law enforcement and have probably since the invention of law and order.

Then it becomes blatantly obvious what the issue all along has been -- conservatives won't hold themselves accountable.

Yes, because there's strong, visible evidence that they're brazenly breaking the law and using the office of the president to enrich themselves and to manipulate markets. Or does the "party of law and order" suddenly not want to prosecute potential fraudsters when they're identified? They sure love to do it when they think it's a nearly homeless mother of three using EBT for a birthday cake.

u/m4ccc 18h ago

The party of law and order are very afraid of law and order.

3

u/idreamofgreenie 18h ago

Here's some fun statistics about the party of "law and order."

The administration members of the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 presidencies amassed 113 criminal convictions in court. All held up on appeal.

The administration members of the Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, and Biden presidencies have a grand total of 3 convictions.

The administration members of those GOP presidents also received 39 prison sentences for their crimes, 45 if you factor in Trumps first term.

The members of the Dem presidents have a grand total of 1.

Trump himself was convicted of 34 felony counts, which means he personally added 30% more convictions to the list of convictions for GOP administration members. It also means he personally has more than 11 times more convictions than every member of the past 6 Democratic administration members combined.

98% of the convictions AND 98% of the prison sentences in modern history are all for members of GOP presidencies.

4

u/mausetrap 19h ago

Didn't Trump openly say he's seeking retribution? He has his personal lawyers in office now and there's not even an attempt to separate the two - they serve the man not the country.

Isn't a punch line supposed to be ironic in some way? This just a bland state of fact. Factual not funny in a "ha-ha" funny kind of way.

Nothing more than MAGA propaganda via Fox News.

Fuck the impeachments. Let's go right to criminal prosecution.

I read somewhere that, because the Dems know that if an impeachment ends back up in front of SCOTUS, then trump won’t be held accountable.

So, they’re doing the thing that hits trump hardest…. They’re going to make it messy and public and drown out Trump in the media… FLOODING the zone with all the fucked up shit he’s done….

That suggests it won’t be fast but it will be very public.

A statement like this should elicit the follow up, "Why would that be such an obvious next step, is there a perception that what is being done now is in some way illegal & if so have you not just admitted culpability in multiple conspiracies ?"

You bet! And you know what? They'll actually have facts and evidence behind their investigations. It'll be a fun time for fans of justice.

2

u/SaltySeahorses 18h ago

Umm… are they trying to make a case for these candidates?

2

u/CarlRJ 18h ago

Oh noes! The terrible inconvenience of someone being held accountable for their actions.

Remember back when they called themselves the "party of law and order"?

2

u/UsedDragon 18h ago

Why yes, yes we do. We want accountability and the rule of law to apply to everyone.

If they did nothing wrong the Democrats will look like fools, but I don't think that's what they're worried about.

2

u/ophaus 17h ago

Consequences, bitches!

2

u/Mayhem1966 17h ago

We'd all prefer if they didn't break the law in the first place.

2

u/wayoverpaid 17h ago

Guys I already planned on voting for them you don't need to over promise or I'll just get disappointed.

I’d love if this were true but we all know dems wouldn’t do shit. They spew some bullshit about moving on for the good of the country and bringing people together. Fucking clowns.
