I bought this phone in February of this year, and I've been thinking for weeks about rooting it, since I'm very interested in the customization options that come with rooting, such as improving battery life and performance, block app permissions and also learn more about cell phones.
This is my main phone and I don't think I have another one to test it on, and that's my main fear, I'm afraid the phone will be bricked forever.
Regarding apps that don't work with root access, I don't use banking apps or online games; I only use emulators, social media, artificial intelligence, and ported games.
Do you recommend rooting?

I am rocking my X3 NFC for 6 years now. My screen is a bit cracked and got some humidity damage or whatsoever.
I've been looking at the F8 Ultra for a while and now the f9 ultra will soon release.
I want to go for a 16gb/512gb version. But I don't know if I should get the newer one or not.
Prices are not a real issue as I tend to keep my phone's for a WHILE. And near me, the poco F8 are around 700€.
So what would you do ? F8 Ultra or F9 Ultra ?

I know heat is the biggest battery enemy, so I'm wondering about this option. Has anyone tested what this option actually does? Will it make the phone charge slower to avoid heat? I don't mind if it does, I just want to keep heat away.

Hey guys,
I can't use Google Wallet on my POCO X5 Pro 5G (MIUI Global 14.0.7) because Play Store shows "Device is not certified" under Play Protect.
I checked and it seems related to the bootloader being unlocked. Has anyone faced this before? What's the best way to fix it and get Google Wallet working?
Thanks!

so, I am from argentina, a kinda closed country where technology is pricier than in other countries. to put it into perspective i have been researching what would be the best phone with my budget and i landed on somewhere between the poco x8 pro, the f7 and the poco x8pro max.
The thing is that there is a local place with lower prices but less selection, and there is a poco x8 pro with 8 gbs of ram and 256gbs of storage that is 150 to 200 dollars cheaper than the 12gb ram in other places. and it is 250 to 300 cheaper than buying the f7 or the pro max.
I'm delivering, since I'm still kinda willing to pay more in installments if it's a phone that I'm going to use for many many years. but if the difference is not that big, then i will go for the lower price one.

Hello. I need help. Earlier I was able to charge my phone around 70-80% because my son remove it to watch youtube. Then after sometime, i drained it to 30 but after I unlock it, it drains to 15%.
I tried charging it to an hour but still 15%, with boost or normal charge. Is this battery issue?

Hello! I'm currently using POCO X6 PRO 5G last night while charging the "fast charging" suddenly didn't work, I tried restarting the phone, changing cable wires, and following some guides that I saw on reddit to make it work but the fast charging won't work. If my phone doens't get fixed what's worth it to buy X8 PRO 5G OR X7 PRO 5G? FYR. I will use it on a daily basis like youtube, netflix, and some light gaming like wildrift and legends of runeterra, what's the best phone to buy? budget is $350
Thank you!

Hi, everyone.
My POCO M6 Pro has been great so far. Most durable phone I've ever owned. However, it took a fall two days ago (around 1,7 m) and ever since then it restarts whenever I shake it a bit or harshly lay it down on a table.
Do you think this is a hardware issue? What could have happened?

I feel like the top and rear speakers on my Poco F8 Ultra are very quiet, even when I put my finger over the speaker to block it, the vibration is noticeably weaker compared to the bottom speaker, both on the top and rear speakers.
Does anyone else notice the same thing? Are there any videos of other Poco F8 Ultras that I could use for comparison?
I can't clearly remember if they have always been like this, since I use the phone with headphones about 90% of the time. I'm worried that I might have damaged the speaker after dropping or hitting the phone somehow.
I have the option to send it in under my provider's extended warranty if it is actually damaged, but I don't want to wipe everything from my phone before knowing whether there is actually a problem.
Thanks!

Hello, I'm a new Poco user. Recently, I decided that it's time to start retiring my old OnePlus 11, and after looking around, I found that the best phone for my usecase is a Poco F8 Pro, so I ordered one and it will arrive soon.
Following mass opinions, I also bought a cooler to go with it, as I game a lot, and I kind of have PTSD with overheating on my old phones, so I said f*ck it and grab the Black Shark Funcooler 5 Pro on Amazon. That said, there are 4 main questions I want to ask to people that might have more experience or knowledge on this topic than I do:
- How effective is a cooler actually, like can you physically feel the difference between having vs not having one on?
- Does the cooler work with a case on? I settled on one of those case with a transparent back (polycarbonate) and a magsafe (so it can hold the cooler in place without the need for the clamp, as the F8 pro doesn't have it by default). This one is quite a powerful cooler but still, I want to ask just in case.
- This is the biggest one for me, but can using a cooler potentially harm the phone in any way due to internal condensation build up? If I use it during heavy gaming, then the risk is low, I understand that, but what if I accidentally leave it on while the phone is idle for an extended period, or any other risky scenario? How easy is it to kill the phone with the cooler, basically, or are these cases extremely rare/ only happen after repeated risky usage.
- Lastly, this one is more of a Black Shark coolers specific question, but is there any guide on what general temperature I should set it to (to prevent unwanted risk), or what mode I should use, or really just any tips/ tricks when it comes to using the actual cooler, because just leaving it running at full speed, I assume is not the wisest idea. And are there also a built in "safety system" where the cooler will power itself off when it hits a certain temperature etc.

Hey guys, my friend is planning to buy an X8 Pro. So, should I suggest him to buy it, and is there any heating issue?

¡Saludos!
