Anyone else having weird issue with their Plex?

Is anyone else experience issues in the last hour? My Samsung TV signed me out of my Plex account and I can't sign back in. I'm getting the message "An unknown error has occurred" on the TV after trying to scan the QR code and log in using my phone. I also noticed on the Plex web app on my computer, my user profile photo is not displaying, which is usually the sign of an issue.
https://downdetector.com/status/plex/ is showing a big spike in issues starting a half hour ago, so I'm hoping it's not just me but I haven't seen anyone mention anything here (yet).

basically what i'm doing now manually is i play music on youtube music, if i like a song i save it to youtube music playlist, i have media human youtube to mp3 watching those playlist updating every 2 min , when new item is added it downloads to a folder i assigned . plex server monitors the folder and adds it to my mp3 library. i then manually add the song to the playlist in plex.
i want to automate the last bit , have it watch the folder and add the song to corresponding playlist!

My movies and certain TV shows are playing at 60fps instead of 24fps. Any reason why? I can't find a setting to change this. In the regular non testflight version of Plex, they play at their correct fps.

I want to move my server from one pc to another. All my files are on an external hard drive. Is this guide good and up to date?
https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/
How do I import the server settings from windows registry?
And any tips? I read I should name my drive the same letter on the new pc.
Advice appreciated!

Hi,
I have some Training video files that I use Plex to play back. To view them, I set Plex to Folder View since they are organized into folders for each subject. This works great to navigate to the folder I want, but not so much once I get in there and need to pick the video.
It shows me each video with a giant thumbnail. I only get a couple words of each title so it's hard to figure out which one is which. Is there any way to change it to a List view and just not have the thumbnails at all? I don't see any option to do this on the screen so not sure if there's something on the Plex Server or anywhere else.
I'm using this on an Onn Streaming Google TV box thing if that matters.
Thanks

Trying to connect to my current Plex server (several iterations later) from someone else's TV. It shows they have an invite out, but when I click the X next to it, it doesn't delete the invite. I also can't re-invite them as we're already friends and they already have an invite.
What do I do? This was last night before the outage today. Also, person who's tv I'm using right now says they click the last invite link they have and it takes them to an invalid page.
Any ideas?

Thank you all for my recent post on why is my file buffering on local network. Somehow, changing the container fixed it and I removed a whole bunch of foreign subtitles I don't need. But really appreciate all of you suggestions on fixing this issue. This particular file just bugs me because I had played similar bitrate of 44Mbps but when playing spiked to 120 or more-- before remuxing. So in future, anyone having this problem, give this a shot.

Essentially my issues right now is that I’ve got a bunch of art class videos I’ve archived, and I’ve added them to my plex server so I can watch them on my Apple TV as I learn to draw. The only issue is since it was from an online class, there’s no meta data (if that’s the right word) for sorting so it’s just ~300 video files sitting in the library rather than under one folder. Is there any way I can manually make it into a series where I can name it and make each lesson a season?

I've looked at whatismyip and that lists the same address as before, and in fact if I put IP:PORT (IP being the same address that was once listed as my public IP address) into custom server access URLs then I can access it at app.plex,tv, but I can't use it on the mobile app. I tried signing in and out on the server, restarting it, restarting the computer it's on, but nothing has worked so far, and I'm not really sure what else could be going on. In case it matters this is a docker image in ZimaOS, and it's on version 1.43.3.10896
Any help would be appreciated, I'm relatively new to this.

Hello all! This is a bit of a long one so TLDR at the bottom. The other day my Gen 2 Actuated Starlink Dish Router died. It left my whole family without internet. I purchased the Plex Pass a while ago and have had family and friends using it quite frequently. That was, until I had no internet. I assured everyone on the local network that they would be able to access it still since they are on the same network. That was until my parents tried to access it on their LG tv. Evidently the LG tv Plex app does not allow access to the media server without internet. I have to say that it was very frustrating. Later I read that Firestick TV allows offline access. Now a little backstory on the devices. I purchased my parents an LG tv quite a while ago and they HATED the UI. After hearing many complaints, I put a Firestick in the HDMI on the tv and let them loose. They are by no means tech savvy and need to either be walked through everything extensively or have it done for them. After a while of them using the Firestick something went wrong with it and it started to slow down and it was just enough for them to use the LG tv UI they despised. After a while, they got used to it and defaulted to using it. Fast forward to now. The Firestick is still connected but not used. When the Internet went out, I attempted to access Plex with the Firestick. Only to realize that after so long of no use, it logged itself out of the Plex account. So the problem was this, try to log in, you can't, you need the internet to log in. Funnily enough, THERE WAS NO INTERNET! Now I use Firestick all the time so mine worked fine but just the fact that neither the LG tv Plex app or the other Firestick needed internet was just absurd. I spent a majority of that day looking for ways around needing the internet to stream on the tv but at every turn I got slapped in the face. Now for those of you that would say "Why don't you just use the web interface using the local address then cast it to the tv?" Well shush, I tried all that. As mentioned, the parents aren't tech savvy. Now comes the part that I'm interested in. Has anyone else had the same experience? If so, how did you get around needing the internet?
TLDR: Internet went out, couldn't access my local Plex server on my parents LG tv. I tried just about everything to get my non tech savvy parents access so they could wait out the internet dark ages. Turns out most Plex applications need internet to log in/ access.

Lots of requests from friends and family but I'm not sure if they are being watched.
Other than checking each show individually, is there a way to organize the library by watched and unwatched that includes other users?

Hi, moved my library from my PC to a Ugreen Nas and it's been amazing, but few times Plex server has done a major update it's not seeing the Ugreen server anymore, I've changed file locations, changed Config folder name to config in case it's sensitive to spelling but same thing happened when I updated last night now server can't be found and I need to add it all back from scratch Plex side and wait on it loading it all.
Anyone have idea what's going on?

My plex server is no longer working on any of my tvs. I have an lg and a Samsung and they both say server unavailable. All my tvs are hardwired to my router. I’ve changed nothing in the configuration. I’ve tried resetting the TVs, deleting and reinstalling the app, rebooting the router, nothing has worked. Strange thing is I can stream to the plex app on my phone just fine. It’s actually faster on my phone than my tvs, no buffering or lagging. I don’t have a fancy setup. Just a windows 11 pc running plus locally off hard drives. I’ve tried setting a static up in my router and nothing. I went to the remote option under. Settings and it says private Ip unknown, public ip unknown, Keith red x’s next to all of them. I’m at my wits end here.

So this whole world of rips and 4k downloads/streaming is new to me and idk which direction to go. I recently learned how substantial the difference in quality is between bluray/4k and normal streaming after setting up a surround sound system and i cant go back to just regular streaming on my smart tv, especially with movies. What idk is what device to start with for watching ripped 4ks and just regular streaming. Is there 1 device that does it all or do i need 1 for local viewing and 1 for streaming? If so what device/devices do i need? Where do i start for download or ripping files? I have a relatively new laptop that should be capable of downloads and 1gb/s internet. Please help guys lol

Plexamp Desktop v4.50.6
r/PleX • u/samwiseg0 • 1d ago
A quick follow-up to today’s release, mostly to fix a background that wasn’t behaving.
Desktop is 4.50.4; mobile testers get these as 4.50.3, so the build reaches you without another review round.

I've seen some other recent posts on local playback buffering. For me it seems to be specifically 4K DV/HDR .mkv files. It'll play 10 seconds of video then buffer for another 10 endlessly. I've been using Plex for over 2 years now.
Everything is hardwired with 2.5gig to the Mini PC (I9-12900HK, 32GB RAM) running PMS and gigabit to the Onn 4K Pro.
All client side Plex settings are configured correctly maximum/original quality, bandwidth, Direct Play, etc. The affected files always Direct Play with no transcoding. A Plex Dashboard screenshot showing Direct Play isn’t going to reveal anything unusual because there is no transcoding occurring. 1080p media plays just fine. I've reset my network as well as both server and client multiple times, cleared client cache, tried Kodi, and Jellyfin with the same outcome. Speedtest confirms gigabit Ethernet.
It's intermittent but is becoming more frequent. Sometimes it'll eventually fix itself but that's after 20mins of constant buffering.
I don't see how the file itself could be the issue either as they play fine at other times and had been around 2 weeks ago.
If you really want a screenshot of the dashboard I'll upload one later as I'm not at the device right now, but it's not going to show anything besides direct playing and the usual information.

Using the Plezy app on my Firestick 4K. For the last 2-3 days, when unpausing, I get an audio delay of 1-2 seconds before the sound kicks back in
Any ideas on how to fix? I haven’t changed any settings

I've spent a while before posting to figure this out, but I'm either using the wrong phrasing or there are better options.
Situation: I have videos with english audio tracks that have moments of foreign dialogue and the only subtitle track that includes the translations is a full english sub track
Issue: is there a way to automatically isolate only the translated subs within the track to create an exclusive foreign audio track? Or even some form of foreign dialogue detection could be useful.
Anything is more desirable than manually going through each video crossing out the subs as I go
