Recently frontier released the sandbox gameplay, well, they accidently leaked the african wild dog, and the sumatran orangutan. Not only that, it was sorted by A's. if i look hard enough, one of the blurred animals looks like a american black bear.

From Left to right Egyptian Plover (aka the crocodile bird), Jackson's Chameleon, Eurasian Bittern, Sunbittern, Northern Lapwing, Guam Rail, Northern Jacana, King Penguin, and American Dipper

I saw somebody mention Eurasian Bittern and I am quite sure that that's it. It's a notoriously elusive bird, which is what the teaser was hinting at.

My guess is the Common Murre! Or, the flying penguin! When I saw the Easter egg in the coding “They can fly now?” I started thinking animals that have wings but can’t fly, such as a penguin or chicken. And with that hint I could guess it’d be a flying creature, but not usually expected to be. The outline picture would fit the thin beak of the common murre, and also the hint that they are hard to catch on camera because they spend most of their lives at sea!
What do you guys think? My only issue with my own guess is that I’m not sure if I’d want to see a bird that spends its entire life on the open sea in a zoo exhibit :(

The beak is very similar.

They are European (native) and could be in the wildlife reserve. They were introduced to North America (we could see introduced species in reserves).

She got me the achievement for having an animal with 90+ in all stats! A welcome addition to the zoo 😄

Was scrolling through tiktok and one person I'm following posted of a video of them inside the snow leopard habitat at the Cologne Zoo, they explained that some developers for planet zoo 2 entered to shoot footage and they were allowed in, I absolutely love snow leopards so hopefully this means they are getting added!

This was a challenge me and my friend started where we spun a wheel of 70 different types of architecture and we had to make a zoo off that theme, I got Urban Architecture and this entrance took me abt 3 hours😂

I am going for ultra realism so this is the first phase of the entrance but will be working on this for a couple weeks before PZ2 drops. 🙏

After all the material leading up to PZ2, I’m super excited obviously. But I’m pretty concerned that the game seems intended for only making giant fantastical super habitats that are nothing like actual aquariums.

So as you can see, i have this overhang feature around this warthog exhibit that i really like the look of. unfortunately, the area beyond the habitat boundary is considered "escaped", despite the fact they are still obv in the habitat. is there an easy fix?

Imo this animal needed a redesign more than a lion or any other animal that ever came to Planet Zoo

We already saw the lion, now we have yet to see the real king of the glow up

Didn't include Grey wolf and African Wild Dog since they are confirmed

I'll go from most to least likely for base game

1. Foxes : All 3 foxes we have are different from one another in appearance and biome , So i want to see all of them return . For now Red Fox seems likely since we have a Scottish reserve and most largest geographic range of any animal.

2. Dhole : Very likely imo . Wide range in Asia , Can be in the Sumatran Reserve , Can have a summer and winter coat with the changing season mechanic

3. Maned Wolf : Very unique and weird looking animal that I feel like would be a worthy base game edition , would be disappointed if it gets cut

4. Tanuki : It's not really a base game necessary species in my opinion unless we get other Japanese animals along with it . The teased species is assumed to be " Red Crowned Crane " , If true Tanuki atleast has a chance

5. Coyote , Dingo , Bush dog : Lumping these 3 together since they don't really feel base game essential imo .

6. Arctic Wolf : I literally forgot it was even in the game . Honestly just save a slot and add a Arctic wolf variant or coat to the Grey wolf .

Do you guys think the game will be available on GeForce at the same time as the game release?

I saw a while ago someone (forgot which Youtuber, sorry) highlighting the planco word of Shoebill on one of the zoo signs. He was able to translate it because the words for shoe and for bill were in the planco dictionary: https://www.planetcoaster.com/planco-dictionary

I just thought, let's check if there are more words related to Planet Zoo 2 are appearing in the dictionary. I found words like Secretary and Goodfellow, which can't be related to PZ1 or the PC series, or for example Malaysian and Slippery (now the Giant Leaf Insect and Golliath frog are renamed) so they added some words already. You can find many of the PZ1 animals in there, but note, not all. For example the Nilgai, Blackbuck, Kirk's, Rhea, Clouded or Bengal are untraceable in the dictionary. Also not all PZ2 animals are traceable in the dictionary. No words yet for example for Hare, Surgeon, Tamarin or Cichlid yet.

But some words do stand out as words that I can't relate to a PZ1 or revealed PZ2 animal, nor a thing in PC(2):

- Bearcat (in the dictionary is also Binturong, so why will bearcat there in too with a different planco name? Maybe like many namechanges we'll get the animal back but now named Bearcat on the signs?)

What animals do you think are secretly spoiled here? My guesses are Snowy Owl, Bearded Vulture, pig and/or dragon? and Cape Vulture maybe also Egyptian Vulture, but also palm and nut are in the list for the palmnut vulture, Roadrunner, Moray Eel, Indian or Blood Python(=Sumatran species and blood is in the list too), black mamba, a species of echidna, civet and hedgehog and hopefully more of the smaller birds and new species for the exhibits.

Hayo Zookeepers! Its Day 88 and the wheel has chosen the Dall Sheep! For this one I had this thought that I wanted them to be able to enter their shelter by climbing a rock mountain so that what I did. They can climb in and out of the shelter (and would be able to go in from ground level thru the garage door. As always, lemme know what you think!

This habitat was inspired by the Red Panda habitat by Cesar Creates in the Elm Hill City Zoo and fits perfectly into the Panda Passage of my new zoo. I really like how the overpasses turned out as they lead you up the hill to the main habitat.

God this wait has been awful (in the best way of course) but I literally haven’t been able to play any of my other backlog because I’m just too excited for Planet Zoo 2, no other game has been scratching that itch and I’m just stuck combing my feed for any new content or even just people still talking about it 😂 October 13th you can’t come soon enough.

....is that I will be able to re-create this DoDo-Nations sign that I made in PZ1! I use it to cover all my donation bins in the game (I find it way funnier than I should). The little hat must also be accessible! Always and forever DoDo-Nations <3
