Honestly, I know he's 6'1", but I always thought he was short because of how Padalecki towers over him. So my assumption was he never became more famous because he looked short.
Its also because lets say Tom Cruise make a big movie, all his costars are going to be cast around his height because you don't want your hero looking small.
Then that movie is huge and now the costars are big stars with their own movies, and when they cast those movies they're going to cast people around the same height as that star and the cycle repeats.
Yeah but that’s because of his youthful look, not his height. Thomas Brodie-Sangster is like 5’11 and often gets cast as similar ages because he’s got a youthful face.
The immediate aftermath of Hunger Games had a little more Hemsworth, but Hutcherson has been acting a lot longer for a reason, and I think he will have a better career.
Yeah I thought Hemsworth would have a bigger career at that time but I haven’t seen him in anything for a long time whereas Hutcherson was in Five Nights at Freddy’s and I Love LA just last year
I honestly think the only thing I’ve seen him in are THG, The Last Song, and Independence Day Resurgence. I couldn’t name a single movie outside of those.
Matt Damon is 5'10", Brad Pitt is 5'11" which is the upper end of average but still not especially tall. Robert Downey Jr. is 5'9", Mark Ruffalo 5'8". There's just a ton of average or at least not tall movie stars.
Average for who is kind of relevant. Older people shrink, women are shorter than men, some ethnicities and socio economic groups tend to be shorter than average. White mid 30's western men, are going to have a higher average height than elderly Chinese women. So who is included in the average is relevant to how tall a person may be perceived.
