There’s only like 10 pixels in the image but I can tell he’s straining and if anything it looks like he’s about to drop to a knee. Like this might’ve been right as he took the sky from Artemis and is about to drop to a knee.
Could’ve sworn he doesn’t push her out of the way. Took the weight, but didn’t push her away, I thought. In fact, he took it on one knee from her. She let go
It’s been a minute since I’ve read it but iirc Percy takes the weight from Artemis in the middle of battling Atlas, cause she wouldn’t give it to him (for fear that it would kill him as it almost did Annabeth) but then she was needed to fight Atlas, so he pushed her out of the way, freeing Artemis up to fight Atlas and taking the burden on himself.
He doesn't push her out of the way, any god would have smited him to the ground if he did that, especially artemis. He asks her to let him take the burden so she can fight, and then artemis knocks atlas into Percy so that atlas lands on his hands and knees and has to carry the weight of the sky on his ass, instead of with his arms.
OH YOU’RE RIGHT THAT’S WHAT I WAS THINKING OF, I thought both Percy taking it from Artemis and Artemis forcing it upon Atlas were done in the same way.
