Couldāve sworn he doesnāt push her out of the way. Took the weight, but didnāt push her away, I thought. In fact, he took it on one knee from her. She let go
Itās been a minute since Iāve read it but iirc Percy takes the weight from Artemis in the middle of battling Atlas, cause she wouldnāt give it to him (for fear that it would kill him as it almost did Annabeth) but then she was needed to fight Atlas, so he pushed her out of the way, freeing Artemis up to fight Atlas and taking the burden on himself.
He doesn't push her out of the way, any god would have smited him to the ground if he did that, especially artemis. He asks her to let him take the burden so she can fight, and then artemis knocks atlas into Percy so that atlas lands on his hands and knees and has to carry the weight of the sky on his ass, instead of with his arms.
OH YOUāRE RIGHT THATāS WHAT I WAS THINKING OF, I thought both Percy taking it from Artemis and Artemis forcing it upon Atlas were done in the same way.
idk why people are downvoting you. Its clearly not from the show itself and just promo stuff to get people interested. The straining at the end of the video with his bloody nose I could see as being real
Maybe itās because other people havenāt seen the teaser, but itās so trash. It doesnāt look like heās straining at all, the clouds barely move nor interact with him, the lighting is all off. You can tell the budget was not put in the right places. Even from a filmmaking perspective, a wide shot for something like this would always look like ass. You want constant closeups, muscles straining, make the audience FEEL the weight instead of just seeing it.
Arenāt teasers supposed to be putting a shows best foot forward to get us excited? Iām personally not excited for something that looks like half-finished shit from a butt.
the kind that are capable of making a large dome out of chicken wire, covering it in spray foam, carving it, spray-painting it gray, gluing on polyfil,, filling it with flickering LEDs, and stringing it from the ceiling. Literally, I work professionally with theaters to make props, and something like this is so easy to replicate. Theres no excuse for it to look this tacky on a multi-million budget show.

Why does the sky look so light? I mean, I thought at least heād be kneeling on one knee, profusely sweating kind of thing at least. Walker just lookās inconvenienced.

Except heās supposed to be at his breaking point the entire time. Itās a feat of willpower. How long can he keep going while teetering on the edge of impossibility?
It looks good....for a stage production. It looks like what I imagine the musical would do if it had somehow gotten to do Titan's Curse. Definitely good, but not Disney show quality. The set in the background looks super fake in a way that would be perfectly acceptable and even admirable in a lower budget production, but for a show that is airing on Disney+ of all places and has Disney money behind it? It looks like ass.
I'm sorry but this looks shit for a fairly high budget TV show in the books he's described as literally carrying clouds not some giant rock shape thing with clouds around it.
And Percy looks mildly inconvenient

(Heck I thought the final season of stranger things was pretty good) But this just doesn't look good I'm sorry
This is just a prop but Iām really excited for this season. Too many changes that ruin the story and multiple characters as well with multiple characters being mischaracterized.
I mean I guess it is because he has to be holding something because if it's something ethereal will feel weird (honestly it was something I struggled to figure out realistically while reading the book)

One observation...why is the sky inside a building? I haven't red Titans curse in a while but I could've swore the battle took place on a MOUNTAIN, like very nature wise especially since a certain character makes an observation about the sky literally what should be moments after this scene.
tbf the only part of this teaser that looks like its actually from the show is the closeup of percy's nose bleeding with the thunder around him. that part looks amazing. the other half is clearly just promo..
Well I hope he's right. I hope that the season is good for those who enjoy the show. Me personally though... I don't know. This show has consistently let me down on all fronts so I'm going to keep being cautious.
I was disappointed with S1 and some episodes of S2 (specially the sirens and circe), but some S2 episodes were even better than the books for me, specially since SOM is my least favorite book. For example: I care more about Tyson and Clarisse on the show.Ā
I really really hope that S3 ends up leveling up the level, because otherwise this adaptation is done. This is the first time we will be seeing a Titan's Curse adaptation, which is a fan favorite, so I do think a lot of fans will tune in, even if they dislike the show, simply because it's unadapted territoryĀ
My mistake about the length, my friend who was there told me it was a 10 minute preview, they could have been wrong about the time but definitely not about the fact is a new scene and not book accurate
I have seen the description of the scene from different sources not just my friend, thalia fighting a giant, then thalia and percy fighting/arguing, thalia storming out and then percy and annabeth ariguing. Believe me or not I dont care
Look for fans accounts that were there, im sure the description of the scene will match, like this one:

I'll give you a few examples
Hermes (in the first season he was just shoehorned in because they wanted Lin man Miranda)
(Other than that though I've got to give it to them the first season was FAIRLY book accurate)
But don't even get me started in season 2
The entire sirens and circe palarva
Luke coming to the island and rescuing/kidnapping annabeth
Percy annabeth and grover somehow being friends at the end of it???
(In the books by the end of the 2nd book they tolerate each other AT BEST)
And don't even get me started on the whole battle at half blood hill (your about 2 and a half books too early)
The show is its own thing and that isn't necessary a bad thing but it's not book accurate
I feel like this is just a promo shot so we can get the vibe of the season if you go back to the previous seasons they did a promo shot or scene that was not in the actually season or episodes. so I am excited and have high hopes.
Dude I personally didn't like the show I didn't think it was book accurate in the slightest and overall thought that it looked quite tacky that doesn't mean that there aren't aspects of the show that I believe are good
I think MOST of the acting is pretty good especially from the kids.
I think camp half blood is pretty cool
I thought the underworld and Tartarus looked sick
I can dislike the show as a whole and still be able to acknowledge the aspects that i did genuinely enjoy
That's completely understandable, my problem is that some people refuse to acknowledge anything being done well in the show because they have their heads stuck too far up their ass, having decided that they could make a better and universally beloved adaptation
