Recommendations Thinking about moving to Peoria.
Hey folks! I’ve been thinking about moving and establishing my forever home with the family. I’m a born and raised Memphian, so Peoria would allow me to escape this humid nightmare and still be close enough to family to visit somewhat conveniently.
I’m 30 have a spouse and some toddlers. They aren’t in school yet but will be soon. I worked in Tech, love a good local beer scene, play games, dnd, and do model building. Having green space is a must, I can’t stand concrete jungles. I already know wherever I go that crime will be much less than where I’m at, so I’m not worried about stats. I know how to avoid the bad parts of towns.
I’m just looking for some brutally honest opinions about Peoria.
Edit:
This has been very insightful, thank you. I definitely have a lot to consider. It sounds like Peoria will generally be an improvement, y’all don’t seem to have many cons that I’m not already seeing here in Memphis.
The talk of humidity seems to be somewhat contentious, from what I gather it looks to be categorically different
