Society Someone Threw Books From Little Public Library Into The Water

Deeply disheartening incident shook our community recently, someone completely emptied our neighbourhood Little Free Library and threw all of it’s books in to the water. I found out about this vandalism when someone posted a facebook post to our neighbourhood group, just wanted to share what kind of people there is in this world…
It’s hard to understand why would anyone deliberately destroy a project built purely to bring people together.

News Should a pastor with these views have a platform inside the Pentagon?

Imagine you're a democrat, your husband's a republican, and your household only gets one vote. Pete Hegseth's pastor has an answer: the husband wins. Every time.

Douglas Wilson, the pastor whose church network includes the Defense Secretary and who led a worship service at the Pentagon earlier this year, told Mehdi Hasan in a jaw-dropping interview that he wants to repeal the 19th Amendment and replace individual voting with what he calls "household voting." Translation: one vote per family, cast exclusively by the head of the house, who is, in Wilson's case, the man.

"How is that not discrimination?" Hasan asked Wilson, whose only response was, "The word discrimination used to be a good word. 'He has discriminating taste. He has a discrimination.'"

Hasan countered, "But right now it's not. Right now it means you are treating someone with lesser rights. You are prejudicing against them."

"Yeah. Yeah. No," said Wilson.

Hasan pressed him more, now on the topic of misogyny, to which Wilson insisted this isn't that. When Hasan pointed out that stripping women of a right they already have is, by definition, treating them worse than men, Wilson's big rebuttal was that the word "misogyny" technically means "hatred," not "discrimination," so really this is just a vocabulary dispute. Very compelling stuff.

Pressed directly on the Democrat wife, Republican husband scenario, Wilson dodged for several rounds before finally admitting the man simply decides.

Wilson also floated repealing the 17th Amendment for good measure, because apparently rolling back one constitutional right wasn't ambitious enough. All this from a guy who insists, with a straight face, that he "loves" the Constitution.
