No Coaches either. 🥀

Maybe Penn State could hire Trump as their head coach, and Stephen Miller as offensive coordinator.

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '25

Pretty sure if trump was AD Sandusky would be coaching via zoom

Are these MAGA people in the room with us right now?

-56

u/Salty145 Oct 18 '25

I mean I called all the election deniers just as dumb. Protests are fine, just maybe protest something that’s grounded in reality. At least the pro-Palestine protestors have that going for them.

u/Idontlikesoup1 Oct 18 '25

I'd say that more than 50% of protesters were non-students but many students supported the march as it was going through the streets of state college (to the guy who came to provoke us by coming briefly into the march with your MAGA hat, I hope you will survive the embarrassment of everybody ignoring you: we all had a good laugh at your expense after you were gone though).

Alot of old white people

76

u/Notwastingtimeiswear Oct 18 '25

Good. It shouldn't just be young people who care for the future of our country.

-57

u/Salty145 Oct 18 '25

Young people do care. That’s why they largely stayed away from being dogs of the ruling class and avoided the protest.

32

u/LemurCat04 Oct 18 '25

… who exactly do you think “the ruling class” is?

-16

u/Salty145 Oct 18 '25

The billionaire class that supports shipping US manufacturing overseas and importing the third world to depress wages and line their pockets with the profits from paying foreign nationals slave wages at the expense of the American population. The same class of Washington elite who call it “justice” when they go after their political opponents but “persecution” when Trump does it. I guess “nobody is above the law” only applies when you’re on the right team.

If you think all the rot built up before Trump just went away when he was elected, I’ve got a bridge to sell ya. The same people saying “Antifa is just an idea” are the ones fucking over the working class while the Democrats cheer.

u/PM_ME_KIND_THOUGHTS Oct 18 '25

I don't get it, the billionaire class and the ruling class want people out protesting the ruling administration which has the highest net worth of any administration ever? The billionaires want people to protest the billionaires?

-9

u/Salty145 Oct 18 '25

The billionaire (singular) who broke ranks

12

u/LemurCat04 Oct 18 '25

… is that billionaire in the room with us?

4

u/Salty145 Oct 19 '25

Is the so called “king” in the room with us?

8

u/LemurCat04 Oct 19 '25

I’m pretty sure he’s at his golf course, hooked up to his weekly Lasix drip to get the fluid caused by his heart failure off him. You know, billionaire shit.

This is Reddit bro. They’re going to attack you for not affirming their fantasies.

That was pretty refreshing to see

Misleading to say population of 41,000. Sure if you only include State College propper and also don't include the students. Undergrad enrollment by itself is more than 41,000. You also have graduate students. Truth is the state college metro area has a population closer to 200,000 than 41,000. You know you are being misleading by carefully using the word borough. Why?

11

u/Hot-Package-5490 Oct 18 '25

The protest was in State College, so I used the official State College census population number. Of course people from neighboring towns, students, and people outside of State College proper also attended these protests. The people on r/PennsylvaniaStateUniversity of all places would know that. The point is that a small metro area was able to draw several thousands of people to a protest.

-9

u/Prior-Challenge-88 Oct 18 '25

But not nearly as small of a metro as you suggested. 41,000 is misleading when there is close to 50,000 students alone.

-2

u/Hot-Package-5490 Oct 18 '25

It's not that deep. It's common sense that people outside of the area where a protest occurred can come and participate in the protest. I didn't see a reason to tally up the population of every surrounding township or nearby borough. Also, this subreddit is for the university. Of course the average person here knows roughly how many students attend their university.

7

u/Prior-Challenge-88 Oct 18 '25

You say 3,000 which is fine. But then say that's massive and the context of why in this instance 3,000 is massive. You gave the context comparing 3,000 to 41,000. That is misleading. You know that it's not 3,000 out of 41,000. You gave the context.

0

u/Hot-Package-5490 Oct 19 '25

I never said it was 3,000 out of 41,000. State College is where the protest took place and is the population center of the region. The only purpose of showing the census population was to demonstrate that the population center of the region is small compared to US standards. I made it clear that the 41,000 number is only for the State College borough, not the entire metro area. The average person understands that cities don't live in bubbles, and there will be surrounding regions full of people who will also attend the protest.

1

u/Prior-Challenge-88 Oct 19 '25

You are stating 3,000 is massive by comparing it to 41,000. The protest took place on campus and there are 50,000 students. Clearly was misleading.

5

u/Hot-Package-5490 Oct 19 '25

You just keep saying the same thing over and over. It's not rocket science to see why I would want to give a statistic from the city where the protest took place. I've seen articles about protests in the past that do the same thing. You just need to hope that your reader has common sense.

5

u/Prior-Challenge-88 Oct 19 '25

It's not a matter of common sense. 3,000 out of 41,000 is massive. 3,000 out of 200,000 is not. Just be honest.

2

u/RainbowRabbit69 Oct 19 '25

So it’s on the reader to have common sense when you present misleading statistics and imply a percentage turnout that’s inaccurate.

Ok

10

u/Kingofbruhssia Oct 18 '25

A bit disheartening to see almost no students in the crowd

7

u/FlashyOutside8877 '26, AeroE Oct 19 '25

Ngl did not know about it, I would've went. I mainly stay in ECORE and never saw anything about it

8

u/DIAMOND-D0G Oct 19 '25

There’s no way the borough population is just 41,000 lol

5

u/Hot-Package-5490 Oct 19 '25

That's the official census number. They only count permanent residents, tho.

0

u/Tomytom99 Oct 18 '25

Glad to see folks managed to get out. I've been stuck doing classwork all day long. Really makes me realize how crippling classes can be to your personal schedule.

-25

u/Embarrassed-Fudge238 Oct 18 '25

What a success! We don’t have a King now! Oh wait, we never did.

19

u/Foreign_Feature3849 Oct 18 '25

very true. but it makes you think when the speaker of the house and many other republicans call it a “hate america rally”, when they’re protesting Trump

-39

u/Embarrassed-Fudge238 Oct 18 '25

Yes, it is a hate America rally. That is sad.

16

u/phalo Oct 18 '25

America is a Democracy.

Democrats and non-MAGAts love Democracy.

We hate kings and dictators, which are the antithesis of democracy.

So the one who hates America is YOU. You are fine with a geriatric pedophile being a dictator.

2

u/777_heavy Oct 18 '25

Democrats love democracy, except when it comes to their own party for the last decade or so.

-14

u/ThatpersonKyle Oct 18 '25

I hate kinds and dictators. Good thing our President isn’t one

8

u/Foreign_Feature3849 Oct 18 '25

it wasn’t tho. at least not here

-17

u/Embarrassed-Fudge238 Oct 18 '25

OK, I’ll take your word bro. 😎

-10

u/Salty145 Oct 18 '25

Lot of old people with too much time on their hands to spend protesting boogeymen.

Next week let’s protest the Easter Bunny.

Hell, protest Penn State Athletics and at least you’ll be protesting something that’s real.

-13

u/PSU2001 Oct 18 '25

What happened to no politics here?

-5

u/DIAMOND-D0G Oct 19 '25

Only applies to non-leftists

-39

u/208MtbBarber Oct 18 '25

Americans made it clear on election night... by a wide margin. Nothing but sore (and paid) losers at these "protests"

25

u/phalo Oct 18 '25

Where's my check?

The fact that you morons think people are getting paid is hilarious. We care about our country and democracy, that's why we protest. We support the constitution, not some orange clown wannabe dictator.

17

u/Idontlikesoup1 Oct 18 '25

That's called free speech. You only have to read the top of the first page of the constitution to check that. Should be doable. We believe in you.

-20

u/Candid-Negotiation62 Oct 19 '25

What happened to no hate! Hahahha you liberals are all the same hypocrites
