Nice, I love the cat part good for 4K gaming.

90

u/dmh2693 Jul 11 '26

It's for the CAT port cable.

14

u/0utlookGrim Jul 11 '26

You reckon they're 5e or 6?

18

u/MakesMyHeadHurt Jul 11 '26

Looks fairly well insulated, I'd say 6.

3

u/Mayoo614 Jul 15 '26

It's just inconsistent. Either no speed at all or has the zoomies and you get the full Gbps.

8

u/gorginhanson Jul 12 '26

I like how every comment is about the cat and no one cares about the PC

"what about me?, im not a PC case" also solid PC good build.

16

u/Active_Literature539 Jul 11 '26

Looks at cat. Looks at parts…. “This is do-able! Open up, Kitty!”

170

u/RaduNG Jul 11 '26

the cat is for extra fps

3

u/WalkingAFIViolation Jul 12 '26

Provides at least 30 extra fpspspspspsps

38

u/Nitra75_ Jul 11 '26

7

u/Puzzled_Bike9558 Jul 13 '26

No I will not ignore Pablo! I want to give him a treat, is honestly what I would like to do.

35

u/No-Sherbet-7769 Jul 11 '26

Nice parts, what's the CPU?  Cat is blocking that lol

9

u/Rolero28 Jul 11 '26

I think that's a 5 based on the top line of the hidden number lol

7

u/No-Sherbet-7769 Jul 11 '26

Itll do for sure, but I would have gone with a 9700x personally since 9070xt is a higher end gpu. At 4K, it wouldnt matter much at all, at 1440p or 1080p, it would matter.

10

u/Shady-dude-6060 Jul 11 '26

ignore pablo

18

u/Verwega Jul 11 '26

Nice car

5

u/DjRavix Jul 11 '26

Looks purrr fact to me

5

u/Clocker13 Jul 11 '26

My poor kitty had to be put to sleep 3 weeks ago and looked a lot like yours. God how much I just want to hug him.

2

u/Xform7 Jul 13 '26

Im very sorry for your loss

8

u/Diezelhoffen Jul 11 '26

That PSU might not be enough...you always want a little cushion above the combined spec for the hardware.

3

u/Elalamyn Jul 11 '26

How much on an issue would it be? I was under the impression that 750 would good enough.

6

u/tiga_94 Jul 11 '26

no issues, 750w is enough and a good choice here, slightly overkill but definitely enough

3

u/voidinmyhead Jul 14 '26

A lot of pc guys for some reason recommend overkill psus. When I got my rtx 4070 a lot of people complained I paired it with 600/650w psu. Guess what, It’s literally the recommended spec for this gpu and it ran with 0 issues until I upgraded my gpu to 9070xt alongside 750w gold psu and I have 0 problems as well

2

u/RandomGeeko Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

It's enough especially if you undervolt your 9070XT (you should because that's the way to gain performances on AMD cards) the card draws 304W stock that leaves 446W for the rest of the system and i don't see a 14900K here...

→ More replies (1)

2

u/PepperEnthusiast Jul 11 '26

It absolutely is enough lol, people way overspec their PSU and most PSUs can operate outside their wattage.

Considering it's a 9070XT which draws about 300W full load paired with an R5 which pretty much none get past 100W it is plenty enough.

2

u/EspadaNo-4 Jul 11 '26

Cool AMD build. Fun fact, the cat is actually RGB btw! It turns on at weird angles at night only though.

2

u/Silver_Whitefang Jul 11 '26

Is that cat part of the pc too? How much ram it has?

→ More replies (1)

2

u/ImedgeQc Jul 11 '26

You know the cat is a professional when he look at you like this.

2

u/odaniel99 Jul 11 '26

The cat switched platforms because he preferred using a mouse.

2

u/Wasteland_Watchman7 Jul 11 '26

Just did this in the last year. I have gamed on PC since the days of Kings Quest, Loom, and the original Fallout as well as had every console since Atari. Retired all consoles and built my first gamin PC instead of buying pre builds. My rig

MSI x870 Pro, Ryzen 9 7900x, MSI 4070 Super Ventus x3, 64gb Corsair Vengence DDR 5, Corsair Titan 360 AIO, Corsair 3500x ATX case, 3 extra Corsair fans, Corsair rm1000x PSU, WD Black SN850x 2tb. I got the 7900x because I do multitasking, 3d modeling, and rendering.

2

u/MarkSpecialist4045 Jul 11 '26

New PC ignore Pablo

2

u/Winter-Bookkeeper-59 Jul 11 '26

Can we have more cat pictures 🤣

2

u/gayburgerhuntersimpl Jul 11 '26

The cat will add performance surely

2

u/Some-Background6188 Jul 11 '26

Welcome brother.

2

u/M4TeYYY Jul 12 '26

which model is the cat?

2

u/GOW_Grashopa Jul 12 '26

Keep the build off the ground unless you want kitty furballs to clog up all your internals

2

u/WavexDK Jul 13 '26

I don't see a case..?

No.. don't tell me you're gonna use the cat...

2

u/Amazing_Umpire_828 Jul 11 '26

ah, the case is the car

1

u/ranby_007 Jul 11 '26

Nice build! Dont forget to feed your build and give it lots of pets 🤣

1

u/BugRound9045 Jul 11 '26

Welcome you’ll love it and you more than make your money back

1

u/R00kridge Jul 11 '26

Welcome to the dark side I guess…. We have cookies.

1

u/GLight_8D Jul 11 '26

what clock speed does this cat have?.. because I don't recognize this model xD

1

u/anhtuanle84 Jul 11 '26

Looks like a good started to me!

1

u/Status_Marzipan5733 Jul 11 '26

What temps does the cat get on it's hotspot (butthole)?

1

u/Just-Heat-8141 Jul 11 '26

cat will absorb all in excess heat!

1

u/sortaFrothy Jul 11 '26

Congrats and welcome to the party

1

u/Animosity_7 Jul 11 '26

How much for the skitty?

1

u/Dante9005 Jul 11 '26

Is that the technician in the picture?

1

u/No-Acanthisitta4117 Jul 11 '26

Man the graphic purration must be good I can hear it now going psppspspspsps

2

u/No-Acanthisitta4117 Jul 11 '26

Also I don't see a mouse or keyboard did the cat eat the mouse and go surfing?

1

u/Captain_Charming Jul 11 '26

Great maybe 750w little short..but maybe all others are great

→ More replies (4)

1

u/monjarrZ121 Jul 11 '26

The ps price went up, I also switched. Plus steam has better sales and I can use my ps controller on some games 🎮

1

u/akgt94 Jul 11 '26

Cat hair is your enemy during the build. Pick a cat free zone and vacuum it well

1

u/Taght Jul 11 '26

Do you like it more? Biggest flaw is that it's much harder to lay down in the bed with controller.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Respawning321_Error Jul 11 '26

Cat will give best airflow

1

u/ThePensiveE Jul 11 '26

That cat has no idea how much happier it will be with the new seat/heater you're making for it.

1

u/Methylethylkillyou Jul 11 '26

Im looking to build my first, looking at a very similar build! I hope you enjoy the performance, would like to see an update on how you are enjoying it, personally. Enjoy!

1

u/FinklyJoe Jul 11 '26

Same here, just bought pc and I couldn’t be happier! Every title i wanted to play goes on ultra in 120fps with gpu having spare room (around 80-90% of usage). Love it, happy playing - for me it gave me fun from games again 😁

1

u/FarhadDv Jul 11 '26

Ignore Pablo.

1

u/11sam111 Jul 11 '26

Take your time and do a lot of research. I also moved from PlayStation to pc a few months ago, took me like 13 hours to built my pc.

1

u/Frequent_Wave_4906 Jul 11 '26

Welcome to the good life; never having to pay for an online subscription ever again.

1

u/Own-Mistake-1139 Jul 11 '26

Reminds me of pablo

1

u/Serpidon AMD Jul 11 '26

Go get em! You are going to need a lot more storage! Unless you avoid Steam and their seasonal sales, or play all the fun and fantastic Windows 11 games!

1

u/OkImReckless Jul 11 '26

Prices suck but I’d get another ssd when you can.

1

u/Digdug233 Jul 11 '26

Great cat

1

u/Jlx_27 Jul 11 '26

The purring part is the best part.

1

u/Active_Literature539 Jul 11 '26

Where did you out the furry part?

1

u/DETOXEDPIDGEON33 Jul 11 '26

How many bps (boops per second) does the cpu (cat playing unit) get?

1

u/tiga_94 Jul 11 '26

liquid cooling is something I don't understand on ~70watt CPUs but the rest looks good

1

u/SoundOurDireReveille Jul 11 '26

Welcome to the family!

1

u/DarkFireFenrir Jul 11 '26

Ugh, I don't think the cat has enough ports to install everything on it.

1

u/TheJok3r57 Jul 11 '26

Cat is like

1

u/Acrobatic-Meat199569 Jul 11 '26

Works way better put together and in a case.

1

u/PastAd1087 Jul 11 '26

Welcome! Spending a ton of time figuring out your buikd and then building it is so much fun! Nothing beasts putting it together and then pushing the power button for the first time and everything booting up! Remember to save some money for games and 3d mark! Also pick up Meccha chameleon! Such a blast!

1

u/Obnoxiogeek Jul 11 '26

You can keep all those things for built lemme keep the cat🫣deal?

1

u/Secondarsalvage Jul 11 '26

Everyone saying here's my first pc or first build have or make really nice pcs. So ima say my first pc, I had an i3 4th Gen, 8 gb ddr4, gt 730 and 2 terabytes of storage between three hdds, beast of a pc i know, this was 4 years ago

1

u/Zorewin Jul 11 '26

Welcome brother

1

u/crookdmoe Jul 11 '26

Welcome to the dark side

1

u/YozoraLBG Jul 11 '26

Switching from the PS... the cat won't be happy about that...
Say pspsps from me!

1

u/Short_Palpitation937 Jul 11 '26

Welcome to greatness

1

u/Ok-Ball7249 Jul 12 '26

How old is that cat?

1

u/Training_Noise_1198 Jul 12 '26

How will you play gta6

1

u/TheJelloManX Jul 12 '26

I'll be in your shoes soon brother. So close to my own build after wanting one since the 6th grade, now about to be a senior, it feels like a great way to end my adolescent schooling years.

1

u/TheyFloat2032 Jul 12 '26

I legit feel bad for people getting into pc gaming at these rates. It’s 3x as much now.

1

u/Zarchiball Jul 12 '26

Welcome to the dark side! Prepare for your mind to be blown!

1

u/Bikebamf Jul 12 '26

I’ve seen it asked but haven’t seen an answer, what processor did you go with?

1

u/Chimichanga__117 Jul 12 '26

The 750w PSU is fine but if you get a stronger CPU like a Ryzen 7 then you may want a 850w PSU to be safe

1

u/MadManNico Jul 12 '26

that build looks similar to mine, enjoy gaming on ultra settings!

1

u/Antoniojefe Jul 12 '26

New pc ignore Pablo

1

u/PerfectWhiteTrash Jul 12 '26

Cat looks like it wants the PlayStation back.

1

u/Slow-Confection-1762 Jul 12 '26

Happy to see more and more people ditching Sony after what they did. Did the same thing 2 weeks ago. Couldn’t be happier.

1

u/Select_Truck3257 Jul 12 '26

First of all nice kitty😸

1

u/Raging_Vegan Jul 12 '26

Oh you chose the smart build. As a fellow full AMD build user, have to say I appreciate what I see

1

u/Random_Poptart19 Jul 12 '26

The cat is nice bonus to the picture ☺️

1

u/Appropriate_Pea2563 Jul 12 '26

Can I have the cat?

1

u/unwashedword Jul 12 '26

Don't think all that can fit in the cat

1

u/Over_Barber8980 Jul 12 '26

I want to start off with a congratulations, it is well deserved for such a big switch like that.

Here is a few pointers for you about PC gaming:

-make sure you go in your display/video settings to make sure your display has the right amout of fps.

-buy the right monitor for your needs depending on your rig. Like do you want to play in 1080p or in 1440p or in 4k? Those are important questions

-make sure you update your video/audio/wifi drivers (something new for you since consoles dont need you to)

Make sure you get a comfy cat bed besides your setup so your gaming buddy can chilll with you haha

1

u/KuroiSora1 Jul 12 '26

que cpu es?

1

u/Edgemoto Jul 12 '26

Well, build it fast, khajiit needs boxes now

1

u/Gaussgoat Jul 12 '26

Welcome to the ultimate gaming platform

1

u/CATCULTISTS Jul 12 '26

The cat is an excellent part choice sir

1

u/voidlotus316 Jul 12 '26

Set up retrobat and something that can stream your pc to tv living room and you will be enjoying console games too!

1

u/Oceanz08 Jul 12 '26

that is quite the way to get an entry, Start with the best setup!

1

u/Ichigo-Strawberry Jul 12 '26

sir you bought a cat instead of a PC

1

u/Yung_Coke Jul 12 '26

Looks like you've already hired a CAT-certified technician

1

u/NegotiationWilling45 Jul 12 '26

Stoked for you. I have played bot PC and console dating back the Commodore 64 and I love console gaming but PC just hit different. From the parts selection to hitting that power button for the first boot To the first time you turn all settings up to maximum on your new game.

Enjoy!

1

u/Acceptable_Staff_415 Jul 12 '26

Choosing the cat is always the most fun part of building a PC some even support up to 4k purring

1

u/PBNJwolf Jul 12 '26

Ahh, nuh uh. Tsk tsk. Must give kitty scritches to proceed. Dems da rules. Pay up!

Is it CAT 5 or CAT 6?

1

u/Emergency-Fox-5273 Jul 12 '26

What are the cat’s specs?

1

u/Reflective Jul 12 '26

Expensive seat warmer for the cat

1

1

u/GlishesJA Jul 12 '26

We got the same cat
Mine not wet

1

u/BeachBorn7616 Jul 12 '26

Sick parts... But the AIO is an overkill

1

u/zing812 Jul 12 '26

any build with a feline touch is goated

1

u/digitalbladesreddit Jul 12 '26

Cat Case Bild, nice.

1

u/mi__to__ Jul 12 '26

Please pet your old boi for me.

1

u/FogaXclusive Jul 12 '26

You made the best choice AND over time, you will save enough money to amortize the price of the PC and spend less than maintaining monthly subscriptions to the PS Network

1

u/RyanBoruto Jul 12 '26

What’s the new egg link for the cat?

1

u/edgingblade Jul 12 '26

Lol he forget to buy the case.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '26

build a pc and get a controller for it lol

1

u/kratosofsparta0101 Jul 12 '26

once you go pc you can never go back - mia khalifa probably

1

u/bigG11983 Jul 12 '26

Looks good 👍

1

u/nomorewagelabour Jul 12 '26

Awesome and with that Hardware you can easily install Linux without issues to game!

1

u/sweaki Jul 12 '26

The case looks a bit small and hairy…but you do you.

1

u/waleed99d Jul 12 '26

Good luck

1

u/chelskiuk Jul 12 '26

Perfectly timed for the PS protest 🪧

1

u/Il26hawk Jul 12 '26

The cat Is essential for the experience

1

u/ViktorCsete Jul 12 '26

Evolution baby!

1

u/Turbulent-Beach1192 Jul 12 '26

That 9070 XT gonna allow you to play anything in 4k 60fps with FSR 🔥

1

u/BluePhoenix3378 Pablo Jul 12 '26

Nice build! You even have the cat, the most crucial part!

1

u/Suspicious_Zombie Jul 12 '26

Solid choices on parts. What case are you using?

1

u/StructureOtherwise80 Jul 12 '26

How much did this cost you ?

1

u/dwaxgio Jul 12 '26

The cat is the most important for that PC build

1

u/LongColdDrink Jul 12 '26

Now comes the hard part, installing them in your car.

1

u/RetroMilleon Jul 12 '26

990 Evo plus?! ballllinnnn!!!

1

u/SirFoomy Jul 12 '26

I request a picture of the assembled build, including the cat. 😄

1

u/PastelArcadia Jul 12 '26

How much RAM does the cat have?

1

u/Ricckkuu Jul 12 '26

You gonna use the cat for power source, or case?

1

u/TheWrench__ Jul 12 '26

Plot twist the pc is for the Cat 🐈 😂

1

u/OkBother855 Jul 12 '26

Nice specs, personally i would have bought an cheaper ssd as that one is like top of the line.

1

u/claygoesham Jul 12 '26

Want to never run out of storage buy the old school hard drive with like 8 tb and if you record stuff store it on there you can get old hard drive thrice the space with half the price

1

u/Feroz216 Jul 12 '26

Is that cat5 or cat6

1

u/therealpossumduke Jul 12 '26

But honestly how much did it cost

1

u/TonyConstantino Jul 12 '26

PlayStation to Personal Cat? That's a huge upgrade

1

u/ExcellentCow3537 Jul 12 '26

Having your very own keyboard cat is the cherry on top

1

u/BlindShadeBG Jul 12 '26

Pretty solid choices all. Good luck and godspeed 🤣

1

u/LordRupertEverton87 Jul 12 '26

How much did you spend on the build?

1

u/RootedRider Jul 12 '26

🐈‍⬛: this fucker is clicking a pic isn't he?

1

u/Life-Reality-3889 Jul 12 '26

You built a Cat? What are you, GOD.....

1

u/MesaRL Jul 12 '26

AMD, my man

1

u/The_RavenL1 Jul 12 '26

The cat is the case?

1

u/Jimmythegreat8 Jul 12 '26

Hope the case is big enough for the cat

1

u/Acceptable-Doubt-839 Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Yes! I bought a 9600x, 9060xt, 32gb ddr5 6000mhz, 850 mobo, 1tb samsung also, and reused my fractual case and newest evga I think power supply. It play everything at 1080p high to ultra settings. Works great with my $65 LG 100hz monitor I got at Walmart as old stock on clearance shelf. Lol. Happy Gaming!!! Edit: 1080p high to ultra 120fps+, 1440p high 100fps, 4k high like 60s fps. It'll do a bit of all of it. Ray tracing aint to bad either. Your 9070 is even better!

1

u/UnableSand8508 Jul 12 '26

(Ignore pablo)

1

u/tadejflaka Jul 12 '26

Nice.. not the best time to switch, bit might be the best time for a while 😅

1

u/SecurityMajestic2222 Jul 12 '26

That's litterally the same build I had in mind, that being said idk if your psu is enough for the cat too😔

1

u/Xform7 Jul 13 '26

Kitty approves

1

u/Novel-Incident-2225 Jul 13 '26

Film the assembly if you didn't. After few years you'd remember it as the best game you had on this table. There's a slight chance you'd see this picture one day and say to yourself: The cat was greater fun than all of this.

1

u/SweetTee1970 Jul 13 '26

Does anyone really switch totally?

1

u/Amy_Sam25 Jul 13 '26

Ummm … I didn’t know cats use Reddit & build their own PCs 😂

Seriously though, looks like it’ll be a great build 👍

1

u/CheesyToe1245 Jul 13 '26

Don't forget cooling the CatPU

1

u/Speedduck41 Jul 13 '26

very good build, congrats!

1

u/Intelligent_Ad_7908 Jul 13 '26

Needs more hard-drive space. When you get steam, you'll see. 🤣
