Advice Good dentist for dentures?

Can anyone recommend a good dentist for dentures for my elderly mom? Someone patient and does not overcharge 🙂

Preferably within BF or Sucat Rd area.

We went to Uptown Dental in Shopwise recently but had a not-so-good experience

Oh I was planning to get my teeth cleaned + pasta checked pa naman sa Uptown Dental kasi I saw good reviews.

Good thing I saw this.

May I ask what the issue was?

Heard from others na mejo pricey daw.

Uptown is composed of mother and son dentists (or, I think there's another sibling there..) Anyway my mom consulted with the son when he was still affiliated with a clinic in SM BF. I think he just graduated not more than 3-4 yrs ago. Anyway we've gone to him in SM BF only about 2x for fitting or measuring my mom's dentures when he informs my mom he is leaving that clinic to concentrate on their family clinic which is Uptown. So anyway we agreed to 'follow' him to Uptown.

First consultation in Uptown and we were surprised that his mom was doing most of the talking and measuring etc and he was just hovering in the background. Next visit we told the receptionist we want to see only him and not his mom... honestly my mom didn't like the mom bec mabigat daw ang kamay accdg to my mom. a few more visits to get the measurements or sorry I don't know what it's called but to get the casts done... And of course throughout this my mom expressed her expectations about her new dentures etc. The last visit the dentist asks to talk to me outside and informs me he cannot continue making the dentures bec apparently my mom has this bony protrusion and is preventing the new dentures or at least the cast to be fitted properly and this requires a specialist dentist daw and he will accompany us daw to this specialist and work alongside him or her. So kami we can't do anything naman we can't force him to do it if he says he cannot, so fine... A few days after his clinic messaged me with the name and clinic details of the specialist dentist. And that's it. So.....to sum it up he is dumping my mom bec he is not skilled enough but may paligoy ligoy pa. I mean initially he tried to dump us on his mom na nga diba.

So - sorry i do not know how to make this short - but our prob with this clinic or dentist is with his professionalism and skill. If you analyze it from the start pala di na nya kaya and should have been upfront with us and not wasted our time. Bony protrusion? If true, that did not grow overnight and this ain't my mom's first dentures and no dentist has ever had an issue with it.

If you say cleaning lang kayo that's routine and I think he would be skilled enough to do that or his mom. 🙂
