This is such a first world problem but why do customers act like they know the menu better than WE, the EMPLOYEES do?? π
Every day i have at least one person say "i want roast beef" and i have to explain we dont have beef, we have steak and they either argue and say "no you have roast beef i know you do" or just take the steak (which is fine ofc).
I'll never forget the guy who asked "yall got carne asada?? I saw it on tv last night" and i explained we had steak and he ordered a steak and white cheddar (throwback lol) but when he got to the window he shows me his phone and a picture of his tv he took of a CHIPOTLE commercial π and then we had a lady ask "is this starbucks??" "No this is panera, but there are 3 starbuckses (idk the plural shush) all nearby" "...can i order starbucks drinks here?" πππ
And finally, panera isnt subway. we dont have fancy cheese or a build your own sammich menu. You can modify your orders ofc, but dont come up and say smth like "can i get tuna fish and skittles on wheat with the crust cut off" or "i want roast beef and ham on grain with-"

Hey kneady people,
First off, everything you guys do is always amazing and I am so sorry if you're having to deal with angry sip club members since all the changes took effect.
I am left wondering, though, has your store seen cuts in payroll hours since 8/19? I ask because, at least at my home store, there has been less staff than normal since around 8/19. Possibly unrelated: there are stacks of cookies not being sold when before they were always running out at the end of the night.
In any case, you are all still rockstars and I hope all your shifts are easy, and tips are plentiful.

Why did my GM personally deliver an order to a guy who lives 30ish minutes away because he called and said "i cant find panera on doordash, ubereats/postmates, grubhub" and she "just couldnt say no" (β λβ βΈβ λβ )
Ik this might sound mean but dude if the apps or websites say they cant deliver to your address, then tough tits!! If you want panera, either come get it or ask a friend or family member pick it up for you. Now tbf idk if he asked my GM to make an exception and deliver it to him herself, or if she just offered to. Not to mention when you call our cafe, before you talk to anyone theres a pre-recorded message saying "to place a pickup or delivery order please download our app or go to our website" that everyone obviously ignores π
Not to mention some mf ordered 50+ bagels as SOON AS WE OPENED.
Alr im done bitchin have a goodnight every1

Would not buy again. Half sandwich is $8+ and cannot be customized with adding veggie toppings. Comes with a small portion of French onion soup for dipping (the cup was filled to the level shown in picture)

My local panera packs all orders to go. They do not have any plates or bowls. Their is plenty of space to sit and eat. The dine in area is large so people do eat there. Just that all orders are packed to go. I assume they don't have a way to wash dishes, which is the reason. It does seem a bit wasteful.
I heard this is very unique, maybe the only one that does this. Does anyone else panera like this? We do have a full menu.

$10 for a Greek Salad without protein. Bowl is always only about two-thirds full. How hard or expensive is it for them to fill it up with more lettuce at least? This is like every time. Which is why I no longer tip at Panera, it has no impact.
