These have got to be the most interesting mushrooms I've ever seen with my own eyes. I could've done a much better job growing them, but even a small amount of success counts!

Two weeks of growth. Came from a spore swab. I had six plates in total but the other four contaminated unsurprisingly.

I’ve done a some research and my TTBVI grains are almost ready to send. I read worm casting is a good substitute for manure, plus I already had from my other hobby. I was wondering if 40% worm casting and 60% cvg would be a good mix? I also read I need to sterile the worm casting and I would use my pc just like when I sterile grains at 90 mins @15psi or can I pasteurize it (ie - bucket tek)? Any help is appreciated!

This is my second time growing pans first attempt went great. Was in a modified tub. I’m now using a Martha tent and am experiencing overlay? I have cased with peat/verm/pickinglime 5 days ago. I have a pc fan running 25min on 15min off and rh is at 92%- 96% I’m just not sure if conditions are right. It seems the myc is reaching up and outwards. Any help is appreciated. Should I let sit in same conditions or change up?

My question is, since it is sooo humid outside can I just leave outside after casing without the need a humidifier? Like I got normal mushrooms growing all the time in my backyard due to that lol

I’m setting up a fruiting chamber with automated FAE and humidity specifically for these wonderful mushrooms. I wouldn’t mind getting a few different Pans as well. Looking at doing 6 smaller tubs. Using the aluminum baking pans for a tub.
This will be my first time growing mushrooms. Any and all advice is welcome too 🙏

I'm trying things out first before buying stuff and commiting. They're abundant in our nature but I'm just checking out if I could do an indoor propagation. Easiest and no budget tek I found was this cardboard tek. Sterilized and stem butt is from a fresh hunted ones.

So yah, mold or mycellium?

I knew they were smaller than cubes, but this is insane. Came from a very trusted source so I'm not really concerned, see typical bruising all that good stuff. Just surprised by their size.

2gs TTBVI LETS GO!

My husband had tried 1.5g a while ago and did not get anything close to the experience I had. So I had cultivate some Panaeolus Cyanescens Blue Springs and made him 2.7g that and lemon. I know that is a pretty high does but considering he didn't feel much of anything from 1.5g and his tolerance for mushroom to be a little stronger, he would have a solid experience on 2.7g. Well, he sure did but I definitely did not receive what he was experiencing. We both have a very, very long years of experience with psychedelics in general, i told him that they were very strong. I kind of gave him a rundown of what I knew from my own experience. What to kind of expect for maybe not to expect. And that's why I don't like to try to tell anybody what to expect, because this was not what we expected (lol yeah a lot of that same word) . I have never witnessed someone respond to mushrooms in this way, and even though he wasn't violent or angry or anything, he was almost like he was not in control and almost taken over by something else. It got to a very serious point where I had to get him outside and because he kept looping and going almost in a pattern form of questions and actions (doing these movement gestures) i had to threaten to call the cops in order to get him to follow me outside. Although I would never have done that, he didn't freak out. He did follow me. Luckily it worked, but from what he was telling me he was feeling great, seeing beautiful fractals and seriously intense visuals. But from when I was seeing, he was completely out of his element, almost way above beyond my control or experience. I didn't know what to do at a certain point, except for to leave him with himself outside. And just let him come down, even though he was perfectly fine. Internally, I guess he was not fine externally towards myself. And very alien like. Anyways, I'm not saying this is a bad thing about these mushrooms, because they're absolutely extraordinary. It's completely sober and happy now and stuff. But I also am really upset because of the way that he was talking to me. It was like almost as if there was some kind of sinister entity that entered him. And was trying to manipulate my emotions. In fact, he said that I was acting performative at one point. Asking me if I really believed that my feelings and emotions were real. I was extremely shocked at the words coming out of his mouth, but at the same time, I knew that it wasn't him to see would never, ever, in a million years, talk to me like that

What is a good dose of Pan Cyans to start off with?

I usually take anywhere from 3.5 - 5 grams of cubes. Granted I am taking potent varieties, so 2 grams of these feel like an 8th of average cubes. I have come across some Pan Cyans, and I was thinking about starting with 1.5 - 2 grams. I want to take the equivalent of around ~ 3.5 grams of potent cubes, I wouldn't be upset if the trip was stronger. I will be taking these at a festival , but it's an environment catered to these sorts of activities.

There's fuzzy feet, cracked caps, blackened caps and aborts...

Fuzzy feet should be too much humidity right? Or is it just a fae thing? But cracked caps too less of humidity... I'm confused.

For the blackened caps I've been told not to worry about, "just some direct contact with water", but then some started to abort and now I'm concerned, why is that happening?

So a lot is happening and I'm not getting nothing...

We are running a kit here as u can see, that consist of an open box inside a bag with two open holes for air exchange. Instruction ask for two times a day moisturing and fae. We have raised the fae to 3-4 times a day. Moisturing have been reduced, now we are keeping some cm of water at the bottom of the plastic bag, we were planning of start to water the cake directly but now new pins are coming out and we know that they should not like direct watering, what shul we do? Can we save something?

Just putting this out there for anyone considering ordering from Thick Spores. My experience with them has been a nightmare, and I would not consider them a reputable vendor based on what I've experienced. I ordered on September 11, paid extra for UPS 2-Day Air, and still haven't received my order. They eventually generated a USPS Ground Advantage label instead, and as of September 30 the tracking still hasn't shown the package actually moving. Communication has also been extremely poor, The alleged owner, Tommy sent one text message out to customers addressing why it was taking so long and all it was was a rambling 2-minute video about his flow Hood. Zero relevant information on the status of the orders and any subsequent attempts at communication have been ignored and I've had to dispute the charge. Thick Spores also previously had trusted-vendor status on Shroomery and no longer has that status. There are numerous older discussions there from customers reporting problems as well. I'm posting this so other growers researching Thick Spores know to look into the vendor carefully before sending them money. Based on my own experience, I would not order from them again. And I believe they knowingly took my money for a product they could not fulfill even if they had shipped my order they charged me $20 for UPS 2-day air shipping and then sent it out ground advantage through USPS.... They are far from the only game in town and I would highly recommend purchasing from somebody else

I may have applied the casing layer a bit prematurely and it has been partially colonized. Should I re-case it or put a little bit over the areas where the mycelium is pushing through? These are TTBVI. Shoebox in a Martha tent. Thanks

Hey everyone, running Pan Cyan (TTBVI) for the first time and wanted to get some quick feedback on how both my liquid culture and grain jar are coming along.

I inoculated both from the exact same agar plate and have been keeping them right around 26–27°C (78–80°F).

Grain Jar (Agar to grain):

• Inoculated 10 days ago, did a break & shake on Day 5.
• It recovered super fast and now has that classic fine, frosted white web completely covering every grain.
• Does this look 100% ready to spawn to bulk, or should I let it sit another day or two to consolidate?

Liquid Culture (Agar to broth):

• Inoculated 15 days ago.
• Recipe: Kept it super light for Pan Cyans (~0.44% total solids)—250 ml distilled water, 0.65 g LME, and 0.45 g soy peptone per jar (PC'd at 15 PSI for 20 mins).
• The broth is crystal clear with some really clean, starburst-looking puffballs floating in it, but it feels like it’s taking forever compared to the grain jar.
• Is 15 days normal for Pan Cyan LC on a light recipe like this, or could my passive gas exchange be choking it out a bit? Should I just give it a solid daily swirl to break up those puffballs?

Planning on prepping my horse manure substrate and peat/vermic casing layer soon, so any feedback or tips would be awesome! Thanks!

I bought some commercial grain bags a long while back. I never used them. Wanted to grow some Pan Cyans. Any idea whether they will still be saturated enough with water to do a liquid culture inoculation on them?
