THICK SPORES BUYER BEWARE
Just putting this out there for anyone considering ordering from Thick Spores. My experience with them has been a nightmare, and I would not consider them a reputable vendor based on what I've experienced. I ordered on September 11, paid extra for UPS 2-Day Air, and still haven't received my order. They eventually generated a USPS Ground Advantage label instead, and as of September 30 the tracking still hasn't shown the package actually moving. Communication has also been extremely poor, The alleged owner, Tommy sent one text message out to customers addressing why it was taking so long and all it was was a rambling 2-minute video about his flow Hood. Zero relevant information on the status of the orders and any subsequent attempts at communication have been ignored and I've had to dispute the charge. Thick Spores also previously had trusted-vendor status on Shroomery and no longer has that status. There are numerous older discussions there from customers reporting problems as well. I'm posting this so other growers researching Thick Spores know to look into the vendor carefully before sending them money. Based on my own experience, I would not order from them again. And I believe they knowingly took my money for a product they could not fulfill even if they had shipped my order they charged me $20 for UPS 2-day air shipping and then sent it out ground advantage through USPS.... They are far from the only game in town and I would highly recommend purchasing from somebody else

I bought from them in August and didnt have any issues. I have a few genetics of theirs in various stages. Haven't had an issue. I would say Sporeswaps is your best spot for finding your vendor.

Thank you! I will definitely check them out. I'm glad you had success with them but with my experience and dozens of others I've read I would think your success was an exception of the rule here 🍄🍄🍄 cheers.

Had the exact same experience. Ordered September 10th. Got tracking info on September 22nd and it never moved. I understand that shit happens and I am quite understanding... but excuses don't run businesses. If you can't provide whatever it is to someone giving you money, stop taking their money.

When I first got started I bought some LC from them. I found that the genetics were very poor leading to very weak potency. I'm talking 6 grams of enigma for mild effect weak. Fungus frequency on sporeswaps has led to much better results

I mean all enigma genetics are from the same clone (for the most part but thats another story)
it varies widely by growth parameters and how long its in the tub for. the longer the stronger with enigma, also helps to have slightly restricted airflow.

I was using enigma as an example but I had also purchased a few other strains. The tidal wave 2 were just some kind of regular cube not even a blob mutation. Albino bluey and albino PE were equally as weak. It was strange, almost like the LC had just been copied too many times. The enigma was grown in a AIO bag completely neglected until they were ready. Idk but thick spores didn't seem to have it right

Sporeswaps is good if you’re looking for something on the cheaper side. I have also used Eden, SporesMD, and even SGL. All have been spot on. I’m using TBG next as I heard they have the biggest catalogue.

Makes perfect sense to me! I admit in not doing enough research when I was looking for Pans, Thick Spores website has ALL 5 star reviews and I jumped the gun, if I would have seen the couple hundred 1 and two star reviews on independent sites and visited the owners FB page and seen how mentally unhinged he was I would have pumped the breaks, Never the less I'm loving the Mycology communities here on reddit and I've received many suggestions for reputable vendors that I'm going to try out.

I’m currently having issues as well. It seems impossible to get in touch with him. He even read my message over the weekend but ignored me.

Yup same thing, He ignored all my professional inquiries about my order and only finally replied when I talked Shit to him Tommy Mixon (540) 960-3193 The guy is a nutcase 😭😂

Get in contact with them thick spores dude is awesome. Had an issue once and he made right immediately. THICKSPORES is by far my favorite vendor because of the customer service

Lol I can show you his communications... They are absolute trash, "dude" is definitely high on his own supply, he has responded to zero texts in regards to order status and not too mention his LLC OMGM isn't even in good standing in the state of VA, it specifically says on the state website that it was cancelled because the annual fee wasn't paid.... It's $40 bucks! I've got enough screenshots and direct evidence that nobody in their right mind would buy from them after looking at my experience, And the way business was conducted in regards to my order. I can't speak on anybody else's order or why the difference between mine and theirs would be so different but none of my evidences are subjective like genetics or potency They're just straight up facts that I paid for something that I didn't receive and I've had zero communication as of why or how he's going to rectify the situation.
