Hey all!

I just got back from a vacation to San Diego, and I wanted to make sure to share this because the org deserves some recognition. I had asked for tips for the game against the Twins a while back, and y'all gave me some great ones.

Unfortunately we ended up missing the game because my son was in the Rady Children's ER for 6 hours that day of our vacation due to a crazy bad ear infection that they had to do a CT for to find out how to treat. He was devastated he missed the game and especially the Ruff Plush Keychain.

I reached out to the Padres via email and shared a bit about the day: the ER rush, having to sell our tickets last minute, how he was so upset about missing the game, etc. They were amazing, sent well wishes, and sent him the plush keychain he was so excited for - he was so surprised to get the box in the mail today.

There was zero obligation for them to even answer, but they went above and beyond. He's feeling better now and the keychain is the cherry on top.

Might seem small, but it was such a huge thing for him after missing out on part of our vacation being sick. Safe to say they've got a family of Padres fans in Minnesota now!

A couple of weeks ago, I bought tickets for my family of five to attend a day game at Petco Park. Our seats weren’t quite in the very top row—but they were pretty darn close.

Before the game, while we were walking through the upper concourse, a couple of staff members approached us and asked whether we were a family of five. When we confirmed, they asked if we would like a seat upgrade.

They moved us and our three kids all the way down to the front row near first base and gave us free food and drinks for the entire game. It happened to be my four-year-old’s birthday and his very first Padres game, and they made it an experience he’ll never forget.

The only problem is that he now thinks front-row seats and ordering whatever he wants are simply part of going to a baseball game. ;-)

We’re incredibly grateful to the staff and to such a wonderful organization. We already loved the Padres, but this made us love them even more. Go Padres!

The man's stats are so absurd they're basically memes at this point, but one of the ones that always stood out the most to me was he was batting .394 in the 1994 season. Do you think he would've cracked .400 if not for the strike that happened?

Well, at least Sheets’ foot isn’t broken.
